Wish I saw this, it probably ended a bit low, but still, talk about a crash.

Great card, but what about that top left corner?

Dang, I sold a pink refractor auto /5 for $1500 last year. He'll be back next year. Good time to buy.

If it's a high end raw card from Probstein, you can bet there is a major flaw somewhere on the card 99% of the time.

It's consignment, Probstein doesn't decide whether or not to grade.

LOL lets just say any major chrome auto cards on ebay not graded are suspect not just Probsteins

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that most of us determined that Probstein himslef is not shilling, however the buyers who he co-signs with are shilling the auctions of their own cards.

Yup, that's exactly it. There are a select few who think he is personally responsible for policing all 100,000 of his auctions. It's not his job to make sure his consigners don't shill their own consignments. Probstein's job is to sell consigned cards, and he does a damn good job at it.

I avoid buying raw cards from this seller also, just because I once purchased a raw blue auto from him that had very heavy scratching which you could see clear through the top loader even, and was mentioned nowhere in the description.

Not true! I myself never grade anything new. I know I am not alone.

His autos have gone way down and rightfully so. Tons of people trying to sell right now and even get 2/3rds of what they paid, and never will. I see BC autos for $500 that will NEVER sell.

Again, this is why you don't buy into all the hype when prices are 20x inflated.

I remember pulling a blue mini from bowman chrome /250 out of a walmart blaster and selling it for 225 same day! Wow.

I'm with you as well. I know I leave A LOT of money on the table by not grading. It's just something I've never done so I'm nervous to begin! I know I've sold a LOT of Gems, but it is what it is. The good news though, is that I have a lot of repeat buyers on eBay. I think this is a big reason why.

This is true 99.9% of the time but I said the exact same thing when Trout was at $350. I'm still waiting for that rocket to return to Earth.

Listen dude, I was in your shoes for so long. Almost like in denial about it - it's a scam, I'd have no luck, it's all a crapshoot - and then I figured I had to bite the bullet. I did my first submission of 100 cards...and got back 85-90% gold label. Just sent another batch of more than 100 cards, and we'll see, but I feel good about it. Just be selective and aggressive. Even base rookie cards shoot up in value if done right.
If you go for it, good luck!

A fairly convincing argument can be made that he's still overpriced. I wouldn't pay much for him until he can run to 1st base without pulling up with a hamstring injury.

Definitely still overpriced, dump him while you can honestly. BC autos will be down to $50-$75 in no time

Trout took the card collectors by storm and now everybody gets nervous on holding or selling.

A couple points here --

No one, no one, no one, no one else is Trout. Just omit him from the list of possibilities when considering a prospect's future.

Puig is still young and very good. He's still a big personality and a highlight-reel kind of player for one of the most visible franchises in the game. BC autos for $50 is not going to happen.

You guys forget his BC Autos are SSP, they're very hard to find, and their are probably <300 out there. No chance they ever fall below $100. A camo Myers gem got $600, I would have bid $250 had I seen this card.

I was like this but just recently submitted a batch of about 20 cards for grading. I was nervous about the process but I joined a submission from my LCS and they were very helpful. I was fortunate that there was a guy with a good eye who prescreened my cards for me. This was VERY helpful and would highly recommend doing both 1) join a group submission and 2) have somebody who knows what they are doing (as much as anybody really can) look at the cards first.
