Well, given the fact that I've never seen one episode of Sons of Anarchy (and really have no desire to), that's not the sell point for me. I'm just a sucker for Medieval Hack and Slash shows so this will be watched tonight.

I am a fan of the medieval times shows but Kurt Sutter is definitely the biggest selling point for me as I've loved everything he has put out. I actually thought The Shield was his best show, not Sons Of Anarchy, although I loved both.

For what it's worth, I thought the Shield was much better than SOA and I really liked SOA.

I have to admit that I'm disappointed to see Katey Sagel in the commercials. I got enough of her character on SOA.

One of these days I'll have to check it out as I've never heard anything but glowing reviews. As for Peggy, did you really think Kurt would pass up a chance to make mama happy or to pad the personal bank account? I agree, I've had more than enough and one of my favorite things about Sons was the use of actors that I had no prior exposure to. When Katey comes on screen, all I can see is Peg Bundy and now Gemma.

I just finished the first episode and I like it. It starts off a little slow and the first 20 minutes or so might turn the viewer away but keep watching it as it gets much better.

If you like the show Vikings then you should like this.

I got to watch about 1/2 the pilot episode last night. It was a great setup so far. Very well done, and extremely violent. Will watch the 2nd half tonight if time permits.

Why was there a woman showing her naked ass on the battlefield in the opening scene and then suddenly only a clothed little girl. That was pervy.

The bad guy from The Last Ship is shooting blanks into a woman who looks like a teenager and blaming her for being a barren hole. Wow.

Guy chases his heavily pregnant wife around the town in a foot race. I'm thinking. 1: This is incredible dangerous and 2: She doesn't get winded.

I wasn't very impressed, but will give it a couple more episodes before I decide to scrap it.

Something about the main guy bothers me, and I can't figure out what it is... so that is making it a little hard to watch :confused:

The first hour was pretty underwhelming, but the second episode flipped my opinion pretty quick. It's not high art or anything, but it was entertaining enough for me to stick with it for the season.

Don't think I can praise The Shield enough, there was never a dull moment.

The Shield is the greatest drama series of all time, in my opinion. It truly paved the way for series such as SOA, Justified, Breaking Bad, etc. and it really irks me that it never gets the credit it deserves. Sutter had a part in it, but it was really Shawn Ryan's brainchild and he deserves the majority of the credit. It still shocks me that Ryan wasn't given free reign to do whatever he wanted after it ended like Sutter and Gilligan have been allowed to do.

Did anyone catch it last night? I watched most of it, and then I must have passed out a bit... it airs at 11PM Mountain, so that is kind of a turn off as it is - might have to watch On Demand if I stick with it.

Anyway, I still feel like I can't really get into it. There were a few scenes last night I enjoyed, and am interested in at least one story line. But I am not really a fan of the acting or the cheap looking CGI they keep using (scene in a church with Wilkin comes to mind).

Curious to see what others thought...

Switched off the first episode at the point where the main dude gets his sword, just couldn't take it anymore. Sorry but Game of Thrones just owns all for this sort of thing, I may get around to watching the rest but not anytime soon...

Meh....almost fell asleep at this weeks episode if it weren't for an Ed Sheeran cameo, lol. I think I've almost checked out on this series as the fall shows return...Gotham, Flash, Blacklist, Homeland, Survivor, etc...

This has been awful so far. The main character bugs me although I can't figure out why and Peggy has the absolute worst accent in the history of film, big or small screen. This series strikes me as a play toy for Sutter to see how much gratuitous violence he can pile into each weekly episode whether it has anything to do with the plot or not. Maybe it is just a slow start as they ramp up story lines and introduce characters but I am terribly unimpressed to this point.

For some reason I couldn't stop watching even though it was absolutely dreadful. I owe a huge thanks to the network for overcoming my lack of discipline by removing the temptation from me.

I'm still trying to decide which was worse, the accent or the casting of the lead, both leave you absolutely scratching your head. At least with the accent I can kind of get it, she's banging the show creator after all, is the lead doing so as well?

I had 6 episodes on DVR (or 5 I forget) that I was eventually going to watch. I finally deleted them last week when I needed space.

Figured even if it was good there are plenty of Netflix shows I haven't watched if I needed to binge.
