Marcus Mariota and Carlos Hyde

The two hottest players in the hobby after week one. If they both have another good game Sunday, do we see another huge spike in card values? Or are they already near their peak? I see Mariota's values too high already to make another significant jump, but I do think Hydes still have plenty of room to grow.

I think they can both jump if they continue to perform at a high level.

Gore prices use to be pretty nuts when he was young, so I think the 49ers fan base will help create additional demand.

Yeah I think Hydes are still good buys right now. Mariota not so much. I mean he Contenders Cracked Ice/23 Autos are up to $750 already :eek:

I just can't see them reaching $1000 even if he has another 4 td game Sunday.

Unless you do a live, In person transaction its going to be tough to make that flip in 2 weeks.

BINs are mostly too high already and he's fairly close to his ceiling already. Not many people out in the market looking to spend $200 on a regular auto of the guy.

Agree. If he had a Topps Chrome, NT, Contenders, Immaculate type card out I think there would be room to flip, but I think Spectra, Certified, and Contenders College have all peaked. Even if Mariota continues to throw 4 TDs a game the current brands out will decrease due to supply increasing and the brands being less desirable.

Yep, there's still major room to grow at least in Hyde's case. I was one of the people to sell everything I had of OBJ right after the catch, and I actually ended up making much less than I could have if I had waited until the offseason. It takes time for momentum to truly build before a player reaches his max value, Of course, you also run a huge risk by holding if the guy returns to normal.
