week i have been bidding on an item and within the last 24 hours all bids were canceled and item ended. I feel like buying a cheap item and leaving a rather direct comment on their feedback so they stop doing this crap.
Easy answer, put a reserve on the item. Oh wait, they don't want to pay the extra fee up front. Complete joke if you ask me.

Sellers are under no obligation to continue the listing if it is not within the final 12 hours. I've had cards listed and then pulled them down 24 hours before the close of the auction because I sold the cards elsewhere. It's well within the seller's right to end an item early, and it's one of the few instances in which the seller has power. Everything else Ebay does favors buyers.

Whats goofy about these types is they dont realize items go up a ton in the last hour or so. The first 90% or more of the auction duration is pointless.

so true, just in july i think it was i listed a card BV of $120 with 10 minutes left it was still less than $10, was seriously worried, then all in last few seconds i seen it hit $20 right before the final end update which it ended at almost $80, lets just say that was a pleasing surprise, lol.

Use a reserve or BIN/OBO then. Very simple.

I'll list my cards in the format of my choice, and I will end my auctions early if I choose to as well, provided I am following ebay's rules. I only end items if they sell through another medium or if I notice a problem with the listing, and I am well within my rights to do so.
