I got an email from an ebay user wanting to know the offers on my red refractor auto because he stated he pulled the superfractor auto of Joba. he stated he would list on the bay after mine ends.

I wonder how much credence we can put in that. I also wonder, if it's true, if there will be a temporary small down-trend for the wax?

I would say this is very credible. This guy is a big time buyer on ebay for tim lincecum stuff there is actually a post on the other board about him. i just asked him if he pulled it or if he bought it. will keep you guys posted he did tell me it will not be listed until my is sold because he wants to gauge the market value.

I think I know the guy you're talking about. He's spent about $2000 with me in the last week.

yeah he just replied and stated he hit it in his case. I believe him good feedback and everything. Do you guys think it will be time to move sealed cases or not?

I've always wondered about this discussion every time the "holy grail" is hit. If people are really buying because of that one card and only that one card - they have issues (IMHO).:D
I understand the card collectors of the world are a different breed, but I always think that is funny.

Not necessarily. The hype is basically about a middle-reliever right now, IMO, Fernando Martinez is likely to be the big card in this product in 2-3 years, not Joba.

I saw the thread wondering:
1. Why would anyone care about a Joba Super
and 2. How would a Joba Super not be pulled in 4 years.
Then I saw the date.
WOW!!

Didn't the guy from San Francisco buy both of these Superfractors? I think he paid $9,000 for the Martinez Super and $6,000 for the Joba. He bought my BGS 9.5 McCutchen Sterling Black Refractor AUTO for $500 when he was snatching up all high end prospect cards for a while. I forgot his ebay id but heard he is still buying, just not as crazy as he used to. He rediculously drove up the prices for Gorkys Hernandez 2007 Bowman Chrome Parallels, all versions of Lincecum and Fernando Martinez 2007 Bowman Chrome, and I think he paid $4,000 for the 2006 Bowman Chrome Jose Tabata Superfractor also. I wonder what his stash looks like.

Oh, he also upped the 2007 BCDP Blue Refractor AUTO's of Michael Burgess to almost $200 and the Gold Refractors to just shy of $600.

Well with a thread four years in the making with the two greatest prospects in New York since Mantle in '51 and Strawberry in '82, I just had to give the world my loving. If it's any consolation, buy all the Dante Bichette Jr. and Jennry Mejia cards that you possibly can to re-coop all your 2007 losses.
You're all welcome Jerkfaces!
And by the way; You people don't own a BGS 9.5 Jenrry Mejia 2010 Topps Chrome Red Refractor AUTO #/25. But guess what? I do! (still pissed that BGS for some reason gave the AUTO subgrade a 9, but who cares about that anyways?)

i think wossa is really gonna wish he had just been buying apple stock all the years.
he might have many monsters, but i bet it is really dwarfed by the bricks he now holds.

Wossa was the person who pulled this card from a pack and it graded a PSA 9. I think he was able to sell it for close to 6k after I sold my red refractor that I pulled for $3k. It was a nice move on his part to not list the card until I sold mine.
