I love his attitude and the guy is so damn tough. No wonder why he was pissed about the hit (although legal). Looks like he's got 4 broken ribs.

Maybe I phrased that wrong. I love his competitive edge. He can be a total deuche when it doesnt call for it. - thanks for calling me out on that haha

He's such a douche that he doesn't even know who hit him. He says Mike Mitchell is on his lifetime hit list when in reality it was Lawrence Timmons who delivered the shot to him. Waaaaaaa! Like Cris Carter said on Mike & Mike, if ya don't want hit, go out of bounds. He likes to lower his shoulder and hit defenders but now he's crying about a legal hit. Booo hoooo.

Perfect way to phrase it. I'm a big fan of the guy too, although he can be a bit much sometimes

This dude gets into fights with players and coaches..such a punk! Being a saints fan I got to witness it all of the time..one hell of a player but you do stupid things like he does and it just takes it all away.

Same for me, and not just because he is a raven. Always loved the guy when he was on the Panthers.
Some love him, some hate him.

The broken bones weren't actually from the hit. The bones in his back actually fractured under the enormous load caused by carrying the Ravens offense.

One of my all time favorite players. Too many lack the aggression/passion he has.

Well played!

I about him the same way I felt about Bill Romanowski in that he is the type of player who absolutely love when he is on your team, but if he is on any other team you can't stand him.

A. It sucks to see a guy like him who defies "sports logic" not play because of a broken rib and now just fading out

b. I just traded ODB for him and cooper in a ppr league and I'm still gonna suck lol

But really A because people hate on "old people" in the nfl

Yay! Another thread for me to hate on Steve Smith.

Can't stand him. Can't wait till he is gone. If he retired today, that would make me happy.

That's all for now.

Why? They're not going to make the playoffs

Have to ask...why (looks like the Ravens are your team). Do you want to tank? Which I get, as I'm a Texans fan and hope they do, but overall talent on that offense is not very good and he's the only guy that seems to pose a threat. Now what? Aiken?

I don't cheer for people that I don't like, regardless of if they are a Raven or not. I admire Steve Smith's tenacity and how he plays above his natural ability. I do not like the way he carries himself though. He is a punk. A first class douche.

While his performance for the team has certainly been beneficial towards wins I refuse to cheer his success. I would rather he was on a different team.

Per Bleacher Report, he's out week 5. Browns might actually win one against the Ravens.

Smith reminds of me Cortland Finnegan....both really undersized for the NFL.....both with a lot of heart, a lot of trash talk and pissing people off lol.

The reality is finnegan should remind you ( but not in the same stratosphere) of Steve smith. Finnegan is a bum who had one contract and 3 decent years but got b**** slapped in front of America because he is just that. Steve smith has had what most would refer to as a respectable career and backed some of the ish he was saying

Finnegan will never get respect

Am I the only one here who remembers how football used to be played? There have been hundreds of Steve Smiths in the game but unfortunatly 99.9% of them were defensive players. Hes a cocky SOB yea...but he plays his ass off. Its called passion! Hes the Mike Singletary of WRs

Agree completely. As an example, see the most recent "passion" incorrectly directed toward Mitchell.

I love how people say the NFL got soft and they miss the old days, then you get an old school douchebag like Steve Smith and they say that he is classless.

What do you want people?

I think there is a saying about wanting cake and eating it, that applies here.

Why should I like him because he is a Raven? That doesn't make much sense to me.

I'm not a homer. I'm not going to like a player just because he happens to be wearing a Ravens uniform.
