2006-07 Topps Basketball #33 - Larry Bird Variation/SP Complete List

I know this isn't very topical anymore, but I figured I'd post this visual list of these Larry Bird variations in case anyone needs it as a reference or checklist in the future. This way you can easily search for it on here.

A lot of people may not even know about these, so maybe it will spark some new interest too. The numbers in the picture are arbitrary... just a way to keep track #1-34. #1 is the common base version of the card... it books the same as all the others, but it is FAR more common than any of the variations. The remaining 33 variations feature different photos of Bird and seem to have been equally produced, but all of them were short prints. The different border colors (Gold, Black, Platinum) were also available in each of the 34 variation pictures.

awesome, thank you for this post! i've never seen the #34 one...I'm assuming it is the rarest of them all? I did the whole master set of 06-07 Topps minus the printing plates/GU/autos/border parallels, and I didn't go after all 34 base cards of Larry Bird, just wound up with a few.

No problem, glad somebody still appreciates these. The image I've numbered 34 is just one of the random cards in the set... its not an official number, just my made up number. So I don't think its any rarer than any of the others. But a lot of people didn't realize there were 34 different photos, so I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people are missing one of the photos. They did 33 variations for Larry Bird's uniform number, but they didn't include the base card (the one I've labeled #1) as part of the 33 different photos, so it actually made for 34 total.

This was definitively a pain in the butt to put the base and gold sets together back in the day.

I pulled a platinum 1/1 when I was 16 years old and sold on eBay for $80 I think. Hard to remember which one they look fairly similar. Maybe number 25?
