I agree, a lot of Panini right now just doesn't appeal to me. I like Prizm enough that I will be suckered into buying more than a few boxes of it every year. I like Contenders too, but the price doesn't justify the cost. I mostly buy Contenders but only if they are graded.

I don't understand blaming a production company for your addiction. They are producing collectibles to be traded, they are not in the business of printing money. If every box had a Rodgers auto, Brady auto, Unitas auto, then those cards would be worthless.

Can't agree more. Panini has a lot of reasons to be hated, but in this case Topps has tons of crap value products as well. I'd argue Contenders was the best value of 2014. I'd venture to guess the same will be true in 2015. I can't honestly think of any Topps football product where you can expect a better return especially after 2014 Chrome.

Buy what you want, not what gets you the best value. Otherwise you should be group breaking or case breaking to maximize.

HOWEVER, the "return on investment" pre panini and UD losing all their main licenses was MUCH higher than it is now.

It's been a slow, painful decline for box return values since 2009.

Until they ELIMINATE 60% of their products and stop increasing production for EVERY PRODUCT the entire Football Card Market is trash. Problem is Panini pretty much runs it now. UD is garbage with their college unis and Topps will be right next to them next yr so its ONLY Panini.

Problem is IDIOTS run the company so they will just keep creating new brands and continue to flood the already DROWNED market.

2013 and on has really hurt because looking back at 2012 there weren't as many products and productions were lower....they keep increasing making cards worthless....

But yeah singles are the only way and even then they are DIRT cheap compared to what they use to be.....every brand has 20+ 1/1's.....its a JOKE
