Oh I know. I'm not saying you are.
I'm simply saying, while the list you posted is crazy impressive, people are just assuming that team can't be beat. It can. It was. Sure a few players were different - but not everyone can play at the same time.
Look at Shockey who I removed from the list.
That's great that Shockey was around for 2001 and not the 2002 loss - but that's because Winslow caught 2 passes for 34 yards in 2001.
Throwing Winslow on the "list" when he didn't even play in 2001 (basically) is a bit aggressive.

Of course there's the "any given Sunday" (well, Saturday) rule at work, so nothing is a lock, so I'll say Miami wins the matchup 9 out of 10 times.
I'd argue that the 2004 Trojans and 1995 Cornhuskers were also better squads than the 2008 Gators. Based on player talent alone, I'd also take the 2001 Canes over either of them.
The only area I think any of the previously mentioned teams trumps Miami is coaching. Larry Coker was an awful head coach. You could say that the Canes players often coached themselves to victory more than he did. That squad was mostly put together and set on the right path by Butch Davis. They did have a superb OC in Chudzinski, and a respectable DC in Randy Shannon, but Coker was a liability.
Looking at the other teams, you have Urban Meyer, Tom Osborne, and Pete Carroll. All three of those are giants among men in the collegiate game. It kills me to compliment Urban Meyer Lol. Match any of those coaches up against Coker, and you'll likely see Coker crushed...except when he has his 2001 Canes on the field. They were good enough to win no matter who was on either sideline.
Though some say players who didn't play in a given season don't matter in this discussion (like Kellen Winslow, Jr.), I think they do. Since this is a hypothetical game, there could be injuries. If Shockey goes down, K2 is there to take his place. That running back stable is also one of the best in the history of the game.
The star power is much more widespread on the 01 Canes than any of the other rosters. You can argue that Tebow is better than Dorsey, but I don't think you can argue the roster as a whole of any team compares to 2001 in Miami. It was a once in a lifetime kind of team.

idk what play you're talking about but this is one of the worst PI calls ever. I believe this is the one we're referencing not that photo you posted.

I have no idea. Seems like the U churned out more NFL players.

Where everyone focuses on the one arm? And not the arm that didn't play the ball and hit Gamble in the face?
Yeah that's the play.
It's so sweet 13 years later that people don't understand the rules. I love it.

lol I'm not even about to argue the level of stupidity it takes to actually think that's a valid PI call. You're an Ohio fan though so I expect nothing less.

Good job, it's not worth it. Everything he says is correct, you are always wrong. Didn't you know that the Cavs are the best ever? The Browns are going to dominate, especially on defense? That OSU is the best college team ever? That Urban Meyer is the greatest coach of any sport?

The flag was called wrong. It was not a pass interference, it was a defensive hold. Look at the back judge when he made the call.

While i don't think it was a pass interference, ohio state still ended up winning the game, the U should have never let the game be that close to begin with. Im more bitter about them not being invited to the 2000 championship game, rather than the loss to OSU. They gave that game away, and the loss of willis mcgahee didnt help either.
