Old Card, new team... how to organize it?

So what's your opinion on organizing an old card if the player is on a new team? For example, you can see that my photobucket is organized by players that are currently on that roster (i.e., Eric Decker rookies are listed in the New York Jets folder). Yet all the card are of him in a Broncos uniform...

So do you put him in a Broncos folder, or a Jets folder?

I guess the same goes for selling... do you sell the cards as a Broncos card or as a Jets card?

Another extreme example would be a Peyton Manning Contenders. I'm sure Broncos collectors don't care that he's in a Colts uniform.

If the card shows the players in a Jets uni that would go in a Jets folder. If I'm looking at someones bucket to trade I'd look for my team. If I see a Julius Peppers card as a Bear I might trade for it. If said Bears jersey card was in a Packers folder I wouldn't even see it.

To me, organize to the team folder for the uniform he is wearing. If the folder is player centric, then just organize by team within or by year. My Brees cards are done by year so it's easy.

Sure you might wind up with one player across multiple binders, but that solution always worked for me.

This right here. I am a Viking collector, so I won't look in other team folders unless I was looking for some key RC's I need. So lets say I was looking for Steve Smith RC's. I would look in the Panthers folder, but if you had them in the Ravens folder, I wouldn't even know you had them.

Organize by team unis if you sell in lots.

Group by player if a player or team collector.
