I have been a Huge Mars Attacks fan since 2012. This was when I was first introduced. I was searching for sketch cards in ebay and came across a couple aliens sketches that were very "realistic" looking. It was then that did my first search on Mars Attacks Sketch. My first card was a pencil sketch by Stephanie Swanger. I've been collecting ever since. Most of my cards are bought but I have had some nice pulls too! My best hits include a Charles Hall and George Webber Idw red label sketches that i ended up selling. :( There are several great top artists that I've yet to aquire a piece from but I'm always looking! I've opened about 12 Heritage boxes, 3 Invasion boxes, 7 Idw limited red label books, 1 Blue label book ( LAST ONE FROM IDW! - Chris Mason.) 7 more red label books in the mail right now too! (FINAL 7 RED LABEL BOOKS!) I will add in the NON-SPORT breaks thread in weeks to come! DOES ANYONE know if there are any NAR! or HALL sketches yet to be unearthed?!?!

Hey DGT!
For some reason I never got into Mars Attacks art. After looking at these posts, I am scratching my head wondering why, because you have assembled some absolutely amazing artwork here! My favorite far and away in the bottom right card in the very first scan, with the red button. So good!
But then again, they are all excellent! Thanks so much for sharing - it really opened my eyes to these cards which I had more or less mentally skipped over, and I love them.

Nice collection. What are the pencil sketch prelims from?

I'm not quite sure, I think for sketch cards ideas. I've seen a sketch with the girl's brain exposed like the pencil sketch, only more detailed and colored.

Nice collection.
Some very nice cards I also wanted but you were always faster.
I distinctly recall missing out on the Roy Cover.
Good luck on your red books.
For whatever it's worth: There are 3 NAR I have not seen for sale or in a PC so far.
The pencils are try-outs, preliminary lay-outs or such by Nick Neocleous for images he then painted on the cards.

Yeah I've got my fingers crossed on those red label books coming out. 8 is the number just confirmed with Nate today. I've messaged him to ask if these are in fact the last of the red labels but I'm not too confident I will get a response on that subject. As for the missed opportunity on some cards like the Cover, I feel your pain! Soooo many missed cards that i was the 2nd highest bidder on. I remember the seller of the Cover sketch mentioned that someone else offered more on the cover but he was honorable in giving it to me since we had already agreed on a price. I would love to see your collection.

Made a very good offer for the Cover, but it was already gone.
I do not think you beat me by more than half a day.
That hurt. Must have hurt the seller too.
Also tried to buy some Red Labels, but they are no longer listed ...
Will pay top dollar for any NAR sketch you want to part with.
Considering showing my collection very soon ;-)

I talked to Nate at IDW about the red label books. H e said they are all gone at the warehouse but he might be able to get some more in a few weeks from Diamond Comics. I tried finding some on their site but was unable to locate anything. I think they are a comic distribution company. Can't wait to see your art!
