Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum scorched the New Orleans Pelicans for a career-high 37 points Wednesday night in Portland’s home-opener.

The third-year player out of Lehigh University was the 10th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, but he has averaged just 6.6 points a game in limited time the past two seasons. His start Wednesday was just the fifth of his career — including the postseason — but it shows there’s big potential.

Especially for his cardboard.

His 18 Rookie Cards can be found throughout Panini America‘s lineup of 2013-14 NBA products. His autographs found in high-end brands like Flawless and National Treasures have been steady sellers at more than $100. The same can be said for his rarer cards. However, with his cards being available in several affordable brands those like Court Kings and Crusade — signed or not — could get extra attention, too, if the big nights keep piling up.

“It’s been a long time coming for me,” McCollum told The Associated Press. “I’ve worked so hard for this moment to get an opportunity to play opening night and the coaching staff to have trust in me.”

I went to American University so I saw him play a few times when Lehigh came by. When I watched him, it felt like he had a 99 NBA2K scoring rating every night. Such a beautiful shot.
