I know this was brought up in the NCAA thread but figured Bo deserves his own thread. Really sad to see this happen but of course knew it was going to come soon. So disappointed that he couldn't get that NCAA division I championship. I was there in person last year at Lucas Oil and it was a heartbreaker, especially to Duke of all teams who have enough titles as it is. Guy worked his ranks up through the Wisconsin basketball programs and was great everywhere he went.

Bo Ryan was a top 5 coach during his career even better than Calipari. He did more with less than any coach in the NCAA's. Sad to see him go after what he did for Wisconsin basketball. Team just wont be the same without him.

Kind of a dick move doing it now so that "his guy" Gard gets an extended audition for the job when Alvarez likely would not have hired him otherwise. Same move Dick Bennett pulled and that didn't work out for him or his guy Soderberg.

Still a HOF level career for Bo and he'll be missed in Madison.

Dick move or not Bo Ryan did enough that he should have had some say in it. Barry Alvarez is nothing more than an egotistical prick. We all know that gard will be gone after the season is over.

The Big 10 and college basketball just got a little weaker.

Quitting midseason is weak. Hate the move.

He brought it up to the AD in April and everyone around the program knew it was coming. If anything he probably stayed to start the season when he didn't even want to.
