Obviously most people here want everything for nothing. Most of them run and operate their own "self proclaimed sports card business". It's just become second nature for higher selling prices 95% of the time here and 97.5% of the time low ball offers or no offer at all. If most don't see a minimum of 25% EASY return they don't bother.

Unfortunately that is what this "hobby" has become. Gotta deal with it. Why do you think Topps overproduces?!? It's because the "business" side of the hobby has made it so they can..

I am not a flea market. It I had this lot the only card I would probably try to sell is the Kimbrell.

I would want the $50-$55 I think it's worth so I would throw in the 1st scan of cards along with it and try to get $50 for it.

Go sell it on Ebay if you want a larger audience. If you sold them all individually on Ebay and offered free shipping you MIGHT put $55 in your pocket when all is said and done

Unfortunately, I don't believe there is a Jameson Taillon/Severino/Gonzalez/Micah Johnson/Chris Flexen/Matt Moore/Michael Taylor/Rosell Herrera/Jorge Soler/Allen Craig/Shelby Miller/Craig Kimbrel collector here.

However, there are people who will buy large lots at a discounted price so the seller can move everything he has quickly and the buyer can put in the extra time selling them individually and make a profit to make it worthwhile. In this case, that just is not feasible at all. Especially now that the "$150" card with no comps is damaged and sold for $30.

In terms of lots needing to have a "25% ROI," of course they do! That's the point of a lot being sold. So the seller can clear his inventory quickly and get paid while the buyer can put in work and time to sell the cards individually for a profit. The larger the lot, the more time and effort it would take, so the higher ROI they would need to make.

The buying and selling part of the hobby doesn't bring out the "worst in people." There are countless members who are very well respected who either sell lots or buy lots. The "mob" comes out when there is a member who is doing something wrong and makes himself look bad.

It's just become second nature for higher selling prices 95% of the time here and 97.5% of the time low ball offers or no offer at all. If most don't see a minimum of 25% EASY return they don't bother.

Because that is what this forum is about a lot of the time...

I remember when I joined how unhelpful and rude a lot of the people were when asking simple questions! The business side of things really makes everyone so egotistical and on edge all the time! I remember this hobby used to be fun and you could share good memories with other people and it has completely gotten away from that.

So it was after people started attacking him. I don't really understand your hatred for people that run sports card businesses. If people didn't invest a bunch of money into their business you wouldn't have sports cards. There needs to be someone there as a middle man for you to get your cards. If there was no one companies would stop making them.

But that's a topic for another day.

Fwiw I don't think the OP knew the card that was found on worth point was his. Worth point is a pay service that goes back over 90 days to find cards. He probably thought he got a killer deal on the card after it disappeared from eBay sold listings and didn't realize it was listed as damaged. Everyone sees damage differently. That being said the over the top title didn't help him at all.
