It's about to be 2016 and I think we can all agree that the best two teams are still in the W west with GSW and the Spurs. Ok fine. But I'd say team 3 is the Cavs and then team 4 back to the West with OKC.

But after that the West goes DAL, LAC, MEM, HOU, UTAH (under .500).

For ease of comparison 2-7 in the East is MIA, ATL, IND, TOR, CHI, DET, ORL.

I can make a case for MIA, ATL, TOR, CHI in particular being better than then teams 4-8 in the West. In a 7 game series for example, I like Chicago over Memphis (the two 6 seeds).

Has the East caught up yet? Does your answer change if CLE wins the title? How far away are they in your opinion if they aren't there?

I think the east has caught up. Like you said West has the top 2 but I feel the east is stronger after that. The east central is stacked.

This is quite weird. I think the first round in the East are gonna be closer than in the West, but the second round and the conference finals in the West are gonna be a bloodbath. I would put the teams:

GS
San Antonio
Cleveland
OKC
Indiana
Clippers
Miami
Dallas
Atlanta
Memphis

I think Toronto is better than Dallas or Memphis and I think the Bulls are right there.
