As you all know Upper Deck Randomly inserted gold tickets for the exquisite experience. If you get one then you get to go to Upper Deck and pick your own pack. Isnt this worse then what beckett did with the peterson and the dual cut autograph? 4 or 5 people are going to search there way through all the exquisite cards and try to find the best cards. That means 15-20 of the best exquisite cards will be taken. I dont know but its just weird to have people get the first shot at the best product of the year for basketball. How are we going to know what they get? PLmk what you guys think

true, i remember when they first came up with the idea they stated that the winners would not be able to choose all 1/1 Durant Rookie cards and Michael Jordan 1/1's. So there is a limitation to what the winners will be able to choose from, but they will still probably be able to come out with a few thousand dollars worht of cards, because if i remember correctly upper deck stated that the value of th golden ticket is $10,000( thats what it would cost to do everything that comes free with the ticket)

I didnt know that they had limitations to what they could get. Its just weird that Upper deck would allow this to happen after the beckett scandal.

I thought that you actually got to make the cards you wanted based on a predetermined list of people and materials or autographs.

i heard it was like a search. they have all the exquisite cards and they search through the cards and whatever they find in the span of 10 minutes they keep. they get i think 5 cards.

this exquisite experience was thought up way way before the beckett scandal. It was planned to put 4 tickets in various boxes including sp authentic which came out in early Feb. if i remember correctly, so they neede to place the ticket in a box weeks before that. Also, one ticket would be won by npn on the upperdeck website.
also, i think you have five minutes to go through a limited amount of cards in front of you( it is a limited selection but has very good cards such as 1/1's. jordan/james dual autos, durant rookies, etc) to make a 5 card box that you get to take home with you

its like a regular box of exquisite (5 cards) but you get to choose your own cards out of a selected few. and this is also a very good oppourtunity for collectors who collect a certain player, maybe not the best/ most famous player, to get that certain player's best exquisite cards(if they are in the selection)

No big deal about 5 people selecting cards as long as they can't pull all 1/1's.
However, it sucks that they put these cards in other products, not exquisite.
They should have included them in this years exquisite only for next years set.

i think they did it, because they knew the basketball market was goin downhill so they made this as an extra incentive to buy their products

I imagine everything they do is to incent people to buy their products.
I think the last golden ticket in the Rookie Edition is still out there.

I really don't like the concept of searching through the cards. Can you imagine getting the cards the contestants did not pick plus getting their greasy finger prints on them.
I think it would have been better if UD created a seperate set of Exquisite cards exclusively just for these gold ticket winners. That way the winners have their own versions and do not disrupt the amount good pulls in the regular Exquisite set

great...as if exquisite cards didn't already come out damaged and dinged enough...now we get some goober's fingerprints and scratches on them too

Instead of gimmicks they should add content and value (not just 100 $5.00 autos and 100 $3.00 GU cards) to their crappy products.
that might lure some people in to buy more of their product.
