Refractors

I hate how the word refractor has been co-opted and basterdized.

Shiny cards from Upper Deck, Playoff, Pacific, Skybox, Panini etc. are not refractors.

A little rant. I'll live.

It doesn't bother me too much. Most shiny parallels are refractors to me.

I find the naming variations for refractors themselves more annoying....Pulsar, Atomic, Wave, X, etc. Colors I get, but can someone explain to me the difference between a Pulsar and Atomic refractor?

1993 Finest baseball for me. I miss those days! I also don't like it. Same with Superfractors on Panini Vinyl & etc.....

What I find hilarious is people on here are offended when they talk about their team and use the words us or we but will do this:flex:

I agree. This is a much larger issue of how our language doesnt have the same meaning it once did. People constantly use terminology incorrectly and is annoying. But just like the OP, I'll live. Its them who show their ignorance.

For me, it really screws with my saved eBay searches....along with 1/1, Superfractor, "non-auto", etc, etc.....

Could Topps have screwed up their Chrome refractors any more than they did this year? You literally need to hold the card less than a mile away from the sun for it to show some type of glean. Not to mention the design was complete trash. Rant over.

P.S. I love Topps Chrome refractors.
