The Raptors unveiled their new practice facility today and part of it was a new state of the art war room and a partnership with IBM. It's a pretty interesting read for those who enjoy the behind the scenes stuff.

The new tool called IBM Sports Insights Central, pulls in data from a variety of sources including statistics, video, social networking sentiment analysis, medical records and much more. It compares this data against the team’s needs, a player’s likelihood of succeeding, staying healthy and working well with coaches and teammates for the duration of the contract.

The sneak peak into the facility is pretty cool. Wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the NBA was doing the same thing

One of the reports said 17 teams have or are building stand alone practice facilities and apparently the Raptors and "one other team" (they didn't say who) are taking it to the next level and are the new "template" of what's to come. Raptors are currently the only team with this IBM technology. IBM hope that changes obviously.

Here's a bit more info for those interested. Link (http://www.nba.com/raptors/press-releases/biosteel-021016).

I teamed with some graph paper and blue ink and did the same thing for the Hawks. I had to use code though so no one knows what it actually means. https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--0ONQWdL9--/c_fill,fl_progressive,g_north,h_358,q_80,w_636/17e73bf8686qhjpg.jpg

Wouldn't be surprised if the second team is the Spurs.

I know for a fact that the Cavs have a stand alone practice and medical facility sponsored by the Cleveland clinic. I'm shocked that only 17 other teams have independent practice facilities, I would think all teams would have one

I also wouldn't be surprised if that "other team" was the Spurs

It's a nice facility, i live 30 seconds from there. Pass it everyday on my way to work
