It seems as several of the members here have had a mailday with this particular triple auto as of late and I'm just joining the party as well.

I've said it twice this month already but worth a third time. My favourite triple auto of all time ;)

Both this card and the silver counterpart make me think of another Kobe what-if: what if he didn't jump ship to Panini?
How come UD didn't lock him up longer at the first place?
Very nice card.

Very nice card.
Don't think UD had the funds to sign him.
Wouldn't have mattered, if they did make a triple it would be college junk.

I was thinking that the Kobe-UD contract might (just maybe) possibly contain a clause that, if the company loses the NBA license (and it did), Kobe would be able to get out of the deal.
Why have such thought/guess? Because when Panini first signed Kobe, the length of their initial deal is in similar length as the initial NBA exclusive license, before the license extension in 2012.

But yeah, it would be amateur basketball anyway if UD still has Kobe, but at times I still wonder why. Even Kevin Garnett stays longer with the company.
Sorry for being off-topic OP.

Art of the Game and Panini reached for a settlement before the case/trial began.
