PAINFUL BGS 9.5, centering? Really?

Hope someone in the BO community can help me understand why it's a 9 on centering?

Isn't centering the least subjective grade? Get a ruler and measure, compare it to bgs's 9 standard.

The back looked really well centered and had the only "border" I could find on the card. Now that I look at the stupid dinosaurs, I see why it's off. :-)

Oh, I thought you were saying centering should be worse. nope, thought Centering was the best aspect of the card, it was why I sent it in, surface was nice and centering looked great. well, it DID look great! Not sure why the pic of the back is so small.

Clearly OC, I would have said an 8. You got lucky with a 9 IMO

So the background looks centered but the name doesn't and that makes it off center? Quality card design then...

FWIW it doesn't look that off centered to me.

"Centering" on a card w/o clear borders just doesn't matter to me unless it's so egregious that you can't help but notice.

you can tell by the D in Dwight and the D in HowraD they are off

I love how people continue to give the same answer hours after the question has been resolved and accepted by the OP. Happens on here all the time and always makes me laugh.

If they would've only given you an 8.5 on the centering, that would have been one hell of a kick in the balls, considering the other subs.

It's good to hear so many opinions. Some say the lettering, others say to look at the Liger, others think it looks fine.

Overall, I definitely have even less idea on what BGS uses for centering on a borderless card.

Tried to get a better pic of the back - which is the reason I thought centering was great!
