Topps redemption substitute letdown

Had a 2014 Prime auto relic v Le'Veon Bell. Called one day to ask for a replacement and knew I was taking a risk so whatever, but I lost. Ended up getting a 2013 Prime auto relic v of Geno Smith.

When I called they let me give them some player ideas and team. That is what upsets me most. They didn't even get a player from the team I wanted. They could have given me a Dri Archer and that would have sucked too, but at least it would have been the team I asked for. Instead I get Geno Smith. What a #@#@#@#@ing joke.

I called just to put the complaint in so it is on record. I asked the guy why he thought a top 3 RB in the NFL had the same value as a backup QB. Of course he had no answer.

So yeah, I am upset. Probably wouldn't be so mad but I busted some Museum yesterday and was shorted a hit so I am just in a full on #@#@#@#@ Topps kind of mood.

Topps sent me that after 1.5 years of waiting on an Emerald Clear Cut Auto of Denard Robinson.... Really!??

Geno isn't the WORST you could've done. Le'veon 2014 i around a $10-$15 card.

We are talking small money but Geno probably goes for around 5-8 and Bell anywhere from 10-20. So we are talking a card at about half value. What made me mad though, was the complete disregard for anything I may have wanted. I wasn't asking for a Roethlisberger 1/1 auto. They could have at least given me another Steeler.

Imo they still gave you a decent replacement. It could have been a Ryan swope relic auto....

I agree they should have given you same value. BUT, I don't get why they have to cater to what team you want? You opened the pack and got a random auto, they should be able to give you a random auto back (SAME VALUE of course).

I did the same and requested replacements for my Topps Prime Leveon Bell redemption and a Sterling Prism dual auto of delone carter and someone else.

I got a Topps Prime RC Quad relic auto of Deandre Hopkins and some auto of a baseball player in return. I know absolutely nothing about baseball and it baffles me as to why they would replace a football card with a baseball card...

After reading this, I guess I should feel extremely lucky.

If they are choosing based on value then the replacement they give you is no longer random, so that point doesn't stand anyway.

But more than that, I had a Steelers auto so if I want a Steelers auto in return why not cater to that?

Please realize he pulled a Steeler or for that fact bought the redemption because he is a Steeler fan. He should have the option to get another Steeler.

That is weird they replaced it with another sport. I actually just replaced my last outstanding redemption with Topps (2013 Bowman Black Henry Owens auto/25) and in the email stating the value, it said it would be the same sport.

Panini does something along the lines that deals with the value of the card. I think they said under $100 you can request a specific team and over $100 you can request specific players. Most of the time they listen but I guess it really depends on what they have in the back.

I got done the same way Premium Patch/Auto Le Veon Bell from Museum /25 asked for exchange got sent a Geno Smith Inception Auto /75. I am done with topps.
