I just preordered 2 cases from Blowout today now I normally sit on the cases I buy but this time I plan on ripping this product. What are the pros and cons of ripping vs holding the cases for a while?

i also pre ordered a case, but am planning on ripping it asap.. I just don't see how poker autos can sustain a decent price over time unless they are extremely short printed (like last years).

BUT THEN AGAIN.. a lot of people might be ripping these for the triple/quad and cut autos, and since the cases are limited to 300(?), then holding them just might be the right play, ESPECIALLY if someone pulls a cut auto early - these just might take off. i have another month left, so i might pull the trigger and get another one.

i dont know. i dont make sense. its been a long day and its hot. lol

have you decided yet whether or not you are going to rip? at least you got 2 cases.. you could always rip one, hope to hit it big, shop it on ebay so the cost of your other case goes up, then sell the other one.

minor update: last email exchange with the crew at blowout has the release date and 8/25.. no difference for most, but I will be out on travel the monday after!

Last year's short-printed autographs are holding their value. Cases are still widely available in quantity so I'm assuming, I hope correctly, that this year's print run is substantially less. Base sets from 2006 are virtually worthless. I have one listed currently and at 99 cents there are no bids.

Where did you find that each box will have at least 6 autos with a 1 dual/quad auto per box? Everything that I have found states that there will be 1 card per pack, 5 packs per box, and 10 boxes per case with a chance of receiving a dual/quad auto or cut auto per box which would be the hot box with 6 cards (6 or more autos).

I just ordered 2 cases yesterday. I can't wait until they come in. I plan on breaking one and holding the other for a while.

I also purchased an 18 box case of Sportkings and a 3 box case of Sportkings. I will be busting the 3 box case and holding the 18 box case for a while as well. I may put it in that deep, deep closet that I won't be able to find it in.

9/14 is the "ship date." So look for it as early as the 17th.

Minimum of 1 dual/quad/GU auto/Cut auto per box. I havent heard anything about 1 quad "guaranteed" per case though. There are some nice quad autos though. (4 in total) I hope to pull a few. I hope there will be more than 1 per case though.

Captian B. it looks like there only a few of us that have said that we have ordered a case or more. It doesn't matter to me how we sell these. If you or others decide at a starting price I will gladly stay at that price with my auctions and will promise without a doubt that I will not change my prices.

with that being said... i might be better off starting all the autos at certain prices (depending on if its a single/dual/quad, etc) and letting them run.

If i remember correctly the sp'd autos sold well last year...with all the dual/quad/gu'd autos/cuts available across the 300 case print run....you only have to avg about 16-17 bucks per card to break even.

so I am holding out hope that the mfr holds true to their word in regards to the hand seeding to ensure decent amt of hits per box... and hopefully their idea of "hand seeding" isn't the same as UD (see exquisite hand seeded boxes)

Not all of the cuts will be 1/1's.

Also, the official checklist will be released in a few weeks. This will show what the SP's and Ultras SP's are. Kinda sucks, but we can compare notes here and determine what some of them are.

Crap Captain B. you beat me to it. :)! Josh told me that without a doubt that their hand seeding will be much better than UDs' (of course it is). I explained to him that most of the case breakers, sellers and collectors are getting very tired of the signatures on stickers and all of the delays by all of the card companies. That many people are considering not buying anymore cases to break just plain getting out of the business but that didn't faze (phase) him a bit, he was just too happy and cheerful for me it must be nice to feel that good when he must have been chewed out several times in the last month or more. :eek:

I think this will go up in value. With only approx 300 cases being produced! All we need is for me to hit a Abe Lincoln Cut and pull $5000 in and watch this stuff skyrocket!

Really though:

Box Price: $82.50
Pack Price (5): $16.50

Pack 1 gets you a $10 auto
Pack 2 gets you a $15 auto
Pack 3 gets you a dual/quad/GU $40 auto
Pack 4 gets you a dual/quad/GU $20 auto
Pack 5 gets you a $5 auto

$90....you make a few bucks or come out even.

But...if you get lucky!

Pack 1 gets you a $10 auto
Pack 2 gets you a $15 auto
Pack 3 gets you a dual/quad/GU $75 auto
Pack 4 gets you a CUT $1200 auto
Pack 5 gets you a $5 auto

There is some money to be made. Even if you dont get a cut. Some of those Quads and duals have good signers.

how much can we reasonably expect per auto?10-15? 5 bucks for a "no namer"? after lookin at the checklist, there aren't too many "no namers"... hell just from eyeballin the single autos, only 3-4 names on there stand out as being someone who is a "no namer" in the poker world.

If the cases are seeded as claimed by the company, the production run being only 300 cases, yes I do believe the price of these cases could jump in price quickly. Surely this product won't be as crappy as the tennis product that keeps dropping after release. My concern about the Sport Kings is at $6450 there is a lot of room toward the downside unless you pull that big hit. I will be doing a lot more research tomorrow (internet and phone calls) and will make up my mind soon. Good luck to everyone that buys these products.:)

:eek: Delayed again what gives? It hasn't been very long ago that I called the company and was asured that the product would be shipped in 3 to 5 days. I'm not sure that I'm going to waste anymore of my money on this product. I was a little excited about the product back in July when I paid a little $1600.00 for 2 cases now give a crap give a crap. To me that's a long time to have your money tied up not making money for you. It looks like to me that all of the trading card companies are doing the same thing over and over claiming to have the greatest cards of any product and giving you delay after delay then giving you a crappy product. I feel sorry for the people that depend on the product to be released on the first date promised. :(

I noticed that the 2007 Razor Poker is no longer listed by Blowout does anyone know if it was moved to another location or deleted? :confused:

I just got off the phone talking to Josh with Razor Poker and he said that all of the cases have been shipped they started shipping Friday and finished Monday. It appears to me that the 09/20/07 shipping date should hold true. :)

i emailed the seller to ask if he had it in hand or if they were presells.... he posted his response in the auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320160554132&sspagename=ADME:X:RTQ:US:11).. no definitive yes/no.. but the auction doesn't say 'pre sell" anywhere.

I think he knows the product is "on the way" and wants to be one of the first to sell. I'm guessing my cases will show up Friday.

interesting... set the bar pretty high with the BIN for the duals and the quads...but they set their auctions for 3 days...

... good thing im going to set mine for one dayers when i get my case tommorow :)!

curious... right now there are almost 300 auctions up on ebay for razor poker cards... at what point would it become a hold?

-we know that there were approx 300 cases made...
-so far, judging from a couple of peoples' breaks on here and from the breaks on ebay, the quad autos do not appear to be falling 1 per case...
-so much for hand seeding... seems like a lot of people are getting many dupes.
-singl autos are selling right now on avg 20 bucks a pop...but how long will that keep up?

im ranting, i know.. but only because my case is supposed to come in tommorow..wed..if i do one day auctions, they will end on thurs... but at this point, who knows how much of this product will be on ebay?

so again i ask, at what point will this product be a hold? is there even a question of whether or not to hold it?

im set on ripping... but im throwing this out there, JUST IN CASE :)!
