Fun and underrated set

It was extremely popular at first and a challenge with several set chasers battling. I don't know if they quit or completed the task and now the set has been eclipsed by time.

These look pretty nice. I said screw it to the "case hit" sets after they lied about a certain insert set being something like 1 in every 10 cases until weeks after release, when it became obvious that wasn't the case.

Als, they are definitely not 1:20 cases as originally stated. They are about one in every other case or so

Yeah, there were tons of em around early on, I bought an Iverson for what I thought was a pretty good deal and then about 5 more were listed in the next week. Lousy move by Panini there...

I think someone ran with the odds of pulling a specific player, based on one card per case.

Panini made the false statement in the original post saying these were 1:20 cases. People jumped the gun and paid good amount. Of course, these are not 1:20 cases. More like 1:2 cases

The throwback RCs are about 1:4 cases. These are about 1 in every other case.

I broke one box when the product was new and hit a D-Wade. THis was when I was still selling on ebay. I got like $60 for it. That same card could be had for probably $10-15 now.

I had paid about $20 for mine of Wade on Comc a couple months ago. The only throwback ive seen is sitting on Ebay at $50 :/.

The Throwbacks do go for some decent dough all things considered. I have Aldridge but I think I only spent a few bucks on it.

Yeah, I may eventually grab it but until I have withdrawls and "need" to spend, ill wait. Doubt ill see another pop up, but Its hard for me to spend $50 on a base/insert card.

Man...with the amount of cases being busted nowadays, does it really matter on the odds are for a card (even if it's 1:2 cases) to be considered 'rare' anymore? We all know eventually, these stuff will hit eBay anyways right? :)

Doesn't change the print run, just increases the likelihood of seeing in the marketplace.

collectors are so damn stupid to let this set value die. ridiculous.

I've still got the Iverson and I think my Grant Hill is selling for 15 shipped (oh great...)

They'd rather go chase COMMON overproduced STICKER AUTOS and event worn (4 seconds) jersey relics than something panini finally did good. RARE INSERTS.
