Did anyone watch the show the last two weeks? One storyline involved a nerdy guy who stole drugs from his work and sold them to a drug dealer. Well the drug dealer broke into his house and stole his drugs along with his rare baseball card collection. Long story short he gets them back and as he is going through them to make sure they are all there he starts naming cards. Mantle, Aaron, Jeter etc. ok all cards are there, story over.

The part that annoys me is for having all these "rare"'cards(and he did mention in last weeks show the grading of them) he doenst even have them in toploaders or penny sleeves! Just a 5k box. So unrealistic. Honestly, I probably won't watch anymore

Do better next time!

Yes, I wish they would just do more research. On last week's show, the character was bragging that his baseball card was "60/40 on the front, and 90/10 on the back." So basically it was average on the front, and terribly off-center on the back. Lol
No one would boast such a thing.

This week's episode was even more ridiculous. Even my wife commented that a collector wouldn't have his valuable cards unsleeved in a regular box like that.

Having said that, I kind of like the show.

I was kidding. Show is great.

I just thought it was funny

The series is so well written, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't portray the valuable cards like this on purpose. We have seen a number of examples illustrating that this guy lacks common sense and may not be all there. Maybe by him keeping such cards in a 5000k box, they are further showing how out there he is.

Last week when he was talking about condition he did say all the ones that were over there were in toploaders...guess you can excuse it and say the burglars mixed the rare ones (in toploaders) with the other ones he had thousands of in the back.

That's a PSA 9.

I want to punch that guy in the face so hard. Is there any chance on Earth that the guy doesn't end up dead?

Love the show but that bothered me too. You wouldn't think Vince Gilligan of all people would slack on the details of anything. I see what Rolltribe is saying but he would but the nerd would have commented on them being unprotected while he was going through them if that was the case.

I hated the fact that they weren't in anything more than a 5K box. This is set 15-20 years ago, so I wouldn't necessarily expect PSA, but... ugh, this bothered me so much as well.

Not even a flipping penny sleeve.

I swear I spotted what looked like some 1988 Topps Football when he stuck his fingers in one of the boxes to check the cards.

It bothered me too! But, if you watch the previous episode where he has the cops investigate, he says that all of them are in toploaders! I found that little detail annoying, even though the common audience member wouldnt know what a toploader is...

BCS takes place in 2004... and I can tell you that they definitely did their research, but obviously the character is a friggin moron.

Yes, while that would qualify for a PSA 9, when was the last time you heard someone boast that it was 90/10 centering on the back?
