I just received my personal holy grail!!! The story can be read below!
Last February or March, I won a 2012-2013 Panini Signatures Film Klay Thompson RC Auto 1/1 via an eBay auction (and fortunately, this was before he went off and set the NBA single quarter points record). I got this card for my PC. When I received the card in hand, I made it a personal goal to acquire the 2012-2013 Panini Signatures Film Stephen Curry Auto 1/1. The film cards are my absolute favorite so this would become my holy grail. I would go on to search online (chiefly via eBay) a few times each week to see if anything would pop up. I started to lose some hope in ever landing the card as time passed, assuming it was locked away in someone else's PC or in unopened boxes.
But a few weeks ago, I saw the card listed on eBay (auction listing). In the final seconds of the original auction listing, I put forth a big bid...however, I unfortunately lost out to someone else. I felt horrible because I thought I just missed out on my holy grail....yet, I couldn't justify spending more than what I had bid (and even then, I felt that I was overpaying way too much). Fortunately, the person didn't pay and the card was relisted. In the relisting, it ended up going for LESS THAN half of what it went for in the original listing....and I had the winning bid! :D
So, without further ado, please let me introduce you to my new addition and personal holy grail :) He joins his Splash brother! :) These are two cards that I'll never sell and will always remain in my PC. And to make matters better, I recently sold a high-end Curry card (~$750 profit after all fees) so I basically acquired this card for free! :D
