View Full Version : Has anyone ever had a redemption replaced through COMC?
I've got a few outstanding reductions with one being a markieff morris 1/1 rookie auto. It's been like 2 years and I'm sure it's not getting made. Unfortunately I made the bone head decision to redeem it through COMC.
I've been trying to get them to replace it for awhile and I'm having zero luck and getting frustrated.
Has anyone done this in the past? Any tips or anything? I don't see why it's such an issue. I've had numerous cards replaced myself and it's an incredibly easy process.

If COMC is handling the redemption, everything is in their name so all you can do is call or email customer service and ask them to contact the card manufacturer on your behalf, to get an update on the redemption...good luck.

I've been doing that. I've got Christian at Panini ready to replace it and all he needs is the redemption request #.
COMC won't give me the request #... they won't give me the scratch code #... they won't give me anything. They won't even tell me the Panini rep they're dealing with. I don't know why it's such a secret, but here's a quote from their email...
"Once a customer requests that we initiate the redemption process for a card, that process comes under our control and therefore basically all information relating to that process is proprietary."
Can you believe that? I paid for the redemption and had it shipped there and all I did was get them to request it.

Sadly, I can believe that - they're very much into the proprietary information concept and like keeping everything as closed as possible - but, I can't believe they won't tell you "hey, this card isn't available, but there's a replacement" and let you go from there so you can actually get your card.
