Don't recall seeing one started, so if there is one just delete.
This is the first time since 2011 I've felt excited about a football season for the Texans. I'm not necessarily a Brock O believer so much as I am a fan of what they've done for the skilled position set on offense.
I love the Lamar Miller signing, I've been a fan of his for a while, and can't wait to see what he does with consistent touches. Fuller was my number one wide out, and was my hopefull default if they didn't get Ryan Kelly. However, Nick Martin was my other lineman specifically that I wanted if Kelly wasn't there and they nabbed him.
I wasn't even thinking Braxton Miller, even though I love his explosiveness, but they went out and grabbed him and I'm glad they did because I love the potential, just love it.
I am also a fan of almost anyone coming out of Clemson (had a great time with the women's tennis team in the keys once...lol) but they put out some solid players consistently; so Reader, you've got my vote (whatever the hell that means).
I have been and still am a Rick Smith naysayer, but this draft and free agency has me on the ropes.
For the first time in a long time I am feeling optimistic about the next three years.
Your thoughts gentlemen and ladies?

Just gonna be backups but considering the overhaul on offense it will be good to see how they do.

Hope Lamar Miller gets used properly. Hated his usage in Miami. Interested to see what Brock can do too.

They will try to use Miller like they did with foster. He will get more carries than he got in Miami. Will mainly be off tackle runs and zone blocking as well as pass plays of course. He won't get used much on short yardage draw plays unless the offensive line learns how to make bigger holes.

Ditto to all your points. I have never been as excited about a position group as I am about this years WR's. I hope Fuller can be our version of Desean Jackson and Miller develop into a Cobb type player, causing mayhem from the slot.

Fuller is more of a slot guy. Although they are lining him up as #2. I think Miller long term is a better #2 but if he doesn't pick up on running routes well enough he will stay in the slot which is fine. Strong is the odd man out but he will be the backup for fuller and Hopkins. Not that it's a bad thing for the Texans but it's not the best for his career here. I don't see him staying unless someone gets hurt or Hopkins doesn't sign a new contract. With that said this is the best wr group we have ever had and may prove to be the best in the league. A far cry from last years situation.
I still think they should have drafted a potential 3 down rb as a backup in case Miller doesn't cut it or getshurt, but not every position can be fully addressed in one off-season.

I have to disagree. I see him being used the way he was in college, outside as a vertical threat. The slot isn't the best use of his talents, especially because of his questionable hands.
The slot is better suited for Miller because of his explosiveness and size. I don't see anyway he could operate on the boundary as effectively.

Great stuff guys...kickoff is coming.
This is the first time in a long time I've loved their skilled position players.

Well the first team offense looked tepid, but it's only week one of the preseason. I thought Lamar Miller looked like Lamar Miller though. Oz just seemed out of rythym, I'm not expecting all pro numbers from him, but I'd like to see consistency in reads, and not throwing short on 3rd down. Now my boy tom savage looked solid though, overall I hope to see a better offensive performance by week 3 of the preseason.

They looked better which was expected. Will see how they progress in week 3. The starters will play at least half if not more of that game, so we will have a good idea of what to expect to see during the season.

Osweiller looked good, all of his throws for those interested.

After week 4, I can say that was a dissapointing win if there ever was one. They came out strong, moved the ball, but the defense had coverage lapses. The defense turned it around in the second half but the lack of consistent pressure concerns me in the long run. I like the cornerback play but the safety play and line play is suspect at times.
As for osweiler, I can not watch him force the ball any more, just hard to watch.
Fuller though is looking legit like real deal. His speed is crazy. Next week it wouldn't surprise me if we score 7 points. That Mike simmer defense is pretty awesome to watch.

Sounds great to me, I wanted Watson all along and never thought they had a chance at him...I'm pumped about the first 3 rounds.

As a browns fan, you already know how fans can be much less writers. It was their only option in my opinion as he was outperformed by Brian Hoyer and Pickpatrick and the Texans dumped them after one year.
