Has there been any preview pictures of any of the TOP hits? Logoman, Top RPA paralells, etc.?

I was expecting a whole week dedicated to NT but there was only 3 previews. I asked Panini on Twitter why there wasn't any KAT or Porzingis RPA's in the previews and they just said Tracy didn't get pictures of them. However, both are live so thats a good thing and aren't redemptions like many of the RPA's from football.

Dude Panini. Seriously. How many times can you have the notable nicknames insert and STILL NOT HAVE THE PLAYERS SIGN THE CARD PROPERLY?!? I mean come on. In Football and in Basketball every year the players either just sign their name or just their nickname and very rarely do they actually sign both! Get it together!

Just looking at some of the horizontal RCs shown... grading out is going to be tough. The colored top/bottom borders & edges are going to show EVERY flaw. Yikes.

What is going on with the design here, it looks like they tried to create booklet card printed on a standard size card with a tiny space for the auto. Just looks horrendous

Also couldn't help but notice that USA Autos, Greats Autos, Notable Nicknames and Treasures of the Hall are all basically the same design, with the International Treasures close behind

I'm not sure Panini will be satisfied until Legend Autos of Bird, Pippen etc are $15.

The tag set looks weaker than previous years. How do you manage that?

I think it's clear Panini are looking to make Flawless/Immac and Eminence as their top 3 products.

Hopefully the Logomen can carry this product for those that love it.

Heres the double edge sword for Panini. You would love to have one of those while others I'm sure would complain if they hit one of those. Cant make all collectors happy.

You take out Pippen and Bird and people complain there is no substance in the product. You leave them in and people complain they are producing them like crazy. This is a no win situation. Overtime more autos will be produced of HOF and legends, not any less unless something happens to them.

This industry and based on demand. Demand from people who bust wax. Its going to get to a point where its actually cheaper for Panini to buy back their own autos from the secondary market than it is to get these players to sign the autos. When they catch on, the resurgence of buybacks takes place. Why pay pippin $45/per auto when you can buy his auto for $15 on eBay. We created this culture.. not panini. We created the culture of considering pippin autos and Bird autos as commons because we have a tendency to chase the lottery cards for profit.

You know who wins here.. guys like Kamino. That guy collects all the set for the sake of collection. He win because he can finish these sets and not pay through the nose for birds, magic and Pippen. True collectors rejoice. Investors and flippers worry.

This frustrates me as well. Grant Hill looked like he did it correctly. I guess you need to graduate from a top tier college to understand how to truly sign those cards.

Sad thing for Grant Hill, his nickname isn't notable.

I bet when the cards are sent to the players all they have a single card on top of the box with a sticky that says sign here. So they just literally "sign" there. Since all subsets are included they don't even bother reading the subset title like nicknames. Lets say they get 5 subsets, 4 with sign here for regular autos and 1 that says sign here on nicknames subset. Odds are they just keep signing anywhere they see white space without realizing what they are signing.

Those that do sign the nicknames sub set properly have probably taken the time to look at the actual card and understand the theme. Those that don't is a clear indication they don't care what it is, all they know is it needs a sig. Probably looking at their watches to figure out how long this will take before they can go hang!

They should attach a sticker auto to D'Angelo Russells nickname. That will fix it!

More of a problem than these athletes being dumb is how dumb paninis Quality Control is. If a player screws the card up, they need to pull it from the set. Also not sure how you can make "Flawless" and "Immaculate" cards that come encased, but riddled with surface dents and horrendous centering. Oh the irony!

I never saw Fleer, UD, or Topps consistently struggle with centering. That's the easiest feature to get right and the printing technology is probably better!

I don't blame the players. There's just too many damn cards to sign. At a certain point, I'm sure they just want to be done with the signing. I'd be the same way. I mean, how many cards has G Hill signed over the last 3-4 years? Gotta be at least 15,000 no? Probably more.

They need to build on Revolution. Limit the autos. Replace them with cool inserts. I'd chase a nice, rare insert from NT. Use some color for once. I'm sure the players would take their time and read directions if they didn't have to sign 1,000 cards per product.

NT is still my favorite set.
I think NT and Immaculate have their pros and cons but I think they are better then flawless esp at the price point... I just found out about this eminence product and I like it but I don't see the value although I will be picking a few singles up as they do have some fantastic looking cards.

I love the nt rpas and it is due to a bit of nostalgia...
Edit: I just reviewed the pics again and am a bit let down the only difference in the /99 and /5 is the color of the foil..
I see the /25 is the colossal series so I assume we are not counting that as a true rookie set??
EDIT # 2 I see they are doing /99 /49 /25 /10 /5 1/1 did I miss any? I assume since they are doing 4 boxes per case is the reason they did this. They added another 59 true rpas to the set or is there no /25 and its just the colossal /25.. meh ok cant be upset its better then /199 but the colossal rpas look way better... either way I am excited.

I'm also happy to get a chance at some logoman/logoman autos again!
This and immaculate are the few products I enjoy gbing in even with the alex len fiasco.

Immaculate has the acetate rc jsy # set and I love that set it is one of the best sets around imo but I still prefer the logoman from NT.

To me... bang for your bucks Immac is the best. However due to the value of the NT RPA and the chance of unreal tag, logos etc I think Immac and NT are by far top two. Flawless is nice but better for vets and they haven;t established a true RPA. I also think Eminence was gimmicky... silver, gold, who cares. Flawless, diamonds? Who cares. I'd rather have an event worn sick patch than a diamond that has nothing to do with basketball.

It just amazes me how people hate on even the best stuff that comes out each year. The only reason I don't totally blame people is because the price point demands no stickers if they are gonna jack it up that high, higher than any other year.

I hate the sticker autos as much as the next guy I really do but they are not changing jack #@#@#@#@... even though we keep complaining because we only complain with words not $$$.

I must have missed something during my time away so why is there so few gbs this year? Normally there are tons of gbs and this year I see very few? Did the release date get pushed back or are people still pissed about the alex len fiasco??

I guess what I'm saying to you is you have to ignore most of the complaints because many people are just complaining to complain. I mean come on, this stuff looks pretty good. It has never been a non sticker product even when it was like $350-400 a box.

If you like NT year after year and love opening it for your pc, go for it. If that's what you like isn't that what collecting is all about. Go for it. If your breaking to invest or flip, you need to find something else to buy. This is just bad bad bad bad. NT is just headed down the s******.

My 2015 Draft Class Easy Guide

Pick 1 - Great
Pick 2 - OK
Pick 3 - Street Fighter
Pick 4 - God
Pick 5 - OK
Pick 6 - My Man
Pick 7 - Nope
Pick 8 - Still Guarding LeBron
Pick 9 - Nope
Pick 10 - OK
Pick 11 - BEAST
Pick 12 - Nope
Pick 13 - BEAST
Pick 14 - OK

Yep, they suck.

The only second rounders/undrafted players I'd be OK to get an RPA of are Jonathon Simmons, Boban, Tavares & Nikola Jokic. Other than that, the draft class is  just like Panini's Twotter handle inscriptions design.

Lord knows how people can say this draft class is bad after one year. Most every rookie is bad it's first season, there's no way to know who's going to be good.

Not to mention this draft at least already has two players that look really really good in Porzingis, and Towns.

But I guess people rip to flip instantly which I do understand. I'll sit back and pick up singles of the "scrubs".

It's tough when you look through the display shots and they have 17 RPA pictured and maybe 2 players sell for more than 150$.

So many cards look really nice here but at some point it's near impossible for breakers to get value when the market is so flooded with high end. I wish I could have gotten some preorders in at the original 1600 price.
