My post from other thread when learning of Torii's retirement:
Really? Dang. His presence in the clubhouse had a lot more to do with the Twins success this year than most people realize. He also still contributed on the field the whole year. We'll miss you, Torii! Thanks for all the great memories
Expanding on that a bit more- A little surprised he's not coming back for at least half of next year. Thought he had more in the tank, but hey, when you're done, you're done. Congrats on a truly amazing career and thanks for everything you have done for the Minnesota Twins and baseball
