And a slightly shortened regular season due to the strike no less. 🤣
Yep was going to put that but wasn’t sure it was the strike season, thanks.:)! |
Nestor chose inning 5 to unravel. 0-2 count to Albies and that’s the pitch you throw. 3-0 Braves it should be only 2 and if Grisham doesn’t take such a weird Route to Kellenics sac fly they might have had a play on it. They are sleep walking through this one today.

Max Fried is good but not as good as the Yankees are making him look today.
It’s quite clear he remembers everything about the 2 World Series losses in 1996 and 1999. It’s also quite clear it haunts him to this day. For that Braves team to be so dominant in the National League in that time frame but to only win one World Series still ways heavily on his mind and he is still very bitter about it.
Especially 1996 when they went up 2-0 on the Yankees. |
3-0 count and Lemahieu turns it into a cheap groundout to third. He needs to be benched.
|
Verdugo has been pretty mediocre lately 0-0 after 1
He went downhill after my Son gave me the autographed baseball for Father's Day. :( |
After the last week, I'm starting to think the pitching was over pitching to their true abilities previously. :(
Especially 1996 when they went up 2-0 on the Yankees.
And 1999 was a sweep so that was 8 World Series games in a row the Braves lost to the Yankees. ;) |

I just hate that their hitting seems to be so inconsistent and there are too many dead bats right now. Verdugo, Torres, Lemahieu, Trevino and Grisham in today’s lineup that is 5 easy outs for Fried to navigate through the lineup. Right now their pitchers are having to pitch as if any run given up could lose the game. Championship teams should never feel like that. |

None of them are better than 3.70 - 4.00 pitchers. That's giving them too much credit to tell the truth. |

Well maybe you could put the ball in your closet until his next good game.:D |

It seems that Judge is striking out way too much. If he keeps up the other numbers then it's really not going to matter though. |
Scary when Grisham is 2 for 2 and they are being shutout.

I agree I said that the other day. |
Hey a sign of life Volpe run scoring double.
|
Are the umpires out to screw them in every facet of the game. I don’t think that ball was foul by Soto and Volpe was safe. Bullcrap
|
After the replay I stand corrected and the Yankees wasted their challenge.
|
Alright Verdugo do something.
|
Time to move Dugie down

Verdugo sucking the life out of them lately way to go on a 3-1 pitch.
|
Nice shutdown 7th for Cortes. He deserves a better fate. Dumb baserunning by Volpe cost them a run and that inning could’ve went completely different.
|
Well we get to see how the Braves bullpen is today.
|
Ben Rice as a rookie is having better at bats than most of their veterans. Lemahieu and Trevino and Gleyber all crap at bats that inning.
|
Nice 8th by Kahnle sometimes they just lose games and you have to tip your hat to the other team. They are not sucking today just not hitting.
|
I am so done with these dbag umpires ruining games. Most of them need to get fired and they need to be replaced by a full ABS; not a challenge BS version of it.
