We will offer Soto a ton of money and rightfully should. Mock that all you want. |

What an original burn. You should do standup, so witty. I bet most things you say aren't a huge waste of breath. |
Let's be honest people. Did anyone out there really believe that this wasn't going to happen?

I thought the pitching was over performing but I didn’t think they would look as bad as they have the past 2 weeks. |
Thread seems as dead as the team has been the last few weeks. Maybe a win today can start a winning streak.
|
Good start Judge 2 run homer in the first. Now let’s see if they can get a good pitching performance today.
|
Why would you even pitch to Judge...no shame in walking him. Especially if he's hit now 5 hrs off you.
|
Amongst this current mess, I'm pleased with Ben Rice getting his shot to play
.273/.375/.333/.708, while he isn't providing any crazy power 6 walks to 5 strikeouts is great in 40 plate appearances. Plus 0 errors at first base, so no complaints there either. I'm always a fan of giving a kid a chance over the JD Davis' of the world. So I hope they keep giving Rice starts with Rizzo down. |

In the field though I would sub him out late-game. (Missed a pick off throw, couple instances of him going for a ball the 2b should have gotten) Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk |
Hopefully Luis Gil can get back on his earlier track tonight against the Reds.

Yes, please. |
Absolutely unwatchable right now.
Luis Gil going to turn a sub-2 ERA into a 9.00 by August. Was it all just a dream? |

Of course Lemahieu once again kills the momentum.
|
Volpe killing them from the leadoff spot, how long do the Yankee's keep him there.
|
The only Yankee worth his paycheck just went yard 5-4 Reds.
|
Verdugo is another momentum killer lately.

Getting a little tired of seeing him ground out to the right side and loaf to first. |

Who else we got? |
Getting a little tired of seeing him ground out to the right side and loaf to first.
The 3 I want gone and surprisingly Verdugo isn’t one of them yet. Lemahieu. Trevino and Gleyber. But right now Gleyber is on one of his heaters that makes me think twice. I know it’s only a matter of time before he goes into one of his funks again. Trevino doesn’t hit or field and his ability to call a good game seems to have disappeared. |
Who else we got?
Right now I would make Soto leadoff Judge bat second and go from there. At least Soto would walk a lot more than Volpe. |
I wouldn't bat Judge second. I think you take away a lot of his RBI chances. At this point I'd bat Rice lead off. He seems to be the only other guy who can consistently get a hit.
|
Go up 3-1 in the count against this guy I wouldn’t swing. It’s either a walk or a strikeout. Falling behind 5-0 it’s a shame they couldn’t tie it before the Reds could use Cruz. Lemahieu and his warning track power ends the Yankees 8th down 5-4.
