Isn't that. Dallas is missing a lot of easy looks tonight. |
Mavs let it slip away. When they had it to 8 pts, mistakes cost them
|
This is what Boston was hoping for when they bet it all on Jrue Holiday.
|

If the highlight of your night is that you were only down 8 at one point in the 3rd, you didn't let it slip away, you got beat. |
I know he's got some points, but the lights a little too bright in Game 1. Boston fine with letting him score, but what they aren't letting him do is control the offensive movement. Definitely their defensive gameplan paying off much better than it did vs Indy.
Good strat. They did a beautiful job of keeping honest and not sagging off Lively/Gaff on those Luka penetrations. |
Time to send in the clowns with 5 mins left.....
absolute dog walk. Continuing to be the least competitive playoffs I've ever had to witness. |
Good strat.

Kyrie was pressing all game. Had wide open teammates on multiple occasions, but was dead set on the circus shots over double coverage. |
Absolute beatdown. Not at all surprising.
|
Tatum needs to keep playing to pad his stats so Brown doesn't beat for FMVP.
A bit sad |

Not if you watch the Mavs at all. They do this almost every series |
Absolute beatdown. Not at all surprising.
This finals beatdown is for JFK! |
Tatum needs to keep playing to pad his stats so Brown doesn't beat for FMVP.
A bit sad
Tatum didn't shoot all that well tonight, but I'll take it. 11 rebounds, 5 assists and excellent defense. |
All Luka on clearance!
Porky to the moon… That’s all folks! |
All Luka on clearance!
Porky to the moon… That’s all folks!
Give up the green for green. They all going to the moon! |
Tatum didn't shoot all that well tonight, but I'll take it.
11 rebounds, 5 assists and excellent defense.
And like I said, kept playing vs the Mavs 3rd string to boost any numbers. :p Jaylen had far better defense btw. :)! |
All Luka on clearance!
Porky to the moon… That’s all folks!
Bring it on. We're not ready for Luka mooning again |
And like I said, kept playing vs the Mavs 3rd string to boost any numbers. :p
Jaylen had far better defense btw. :)!
this is laughable. In the last five minutes he had two points and 1 rebound. Mavs pulled the starters with 4:58 left. |
Gaff and Lively were the unsung standouts against Minnesota and virtually all postseason for the mavs.
They need to figure out a way to get them more involved on the glass and offensively, or they really don't have much of a shot of taking home the trophy. I think we can all agree that Boston is already better than the Wolves were the entire series. All that said, Boston only did what they were supposed to do. They better not get lax and give up game 2, because I'm certain Dallas will make it a lot more competitive. Celts have a rather large tendency to go through stretches where they look like the number 1 overall seed, only to blow you away with their inability to realize there's a game going on. It's fascinating. |
Positives for Mavs after loss:
-Boston fans already starting parade. -25% from 3 as a team won't continue. -9 team assists is statistically impossible to replicate. This is due to all the missed shots that were easy looks -Kidd is 1-6 with Mavs game one. Mavs won 5 of the prior 6 series (edit) -Kyrie and Luka had brick nights. Seems to be one per series -Split still gets home advantage |
this is laughable.

Mavs never had a chance

Boston are far better than anyone out West. Dallas are far better than anyone from the 2nd seed down out East. I still think we're getting 4-1 Boston or a game 7. Either Boston are far too good, or they'll let Dallas hang around, which could be dangerous. Dallas was far too one out this game, but I'm not sure what else they can do. They play best when getting stops at the end of the day. Looking forward to a game 2. Which Boston should also win. This is shaping up to be one of the easiest titles in history if Boston keep rolling on. |
Tatum didn't shoot all that well tonight, but I'll take it.
11 rebounds, 5 assists and excellent defense.
All he needed to do today. He’ll take over a game or two to ensure they win as well. |
The Celtics are that good when Porzingis is healthy.
The big question is whether they'll be healthy in the offseason. They weren't but they only needed him for this series. It's nice to watch the payoff when a FO take risks. |
