League avg ops is .705. So Verdugo is a league avg hitter. However, the rest of the lineup (ignoring Rice due to small sample size) outside of the two mvp guys is below average. That's the problem.

Boone and Cashman's philosophy that the players will naturally achieve their highest potential isn't working. Yankees need a new Sheriff in town.

Agreed, We have seen this fail too many times during their tenure. |
I mean it was going well not too long ago. The biggest issue is they are getting no offense from 3B or 1B.

Yankees 1B: .229/.294/.346 .641 OPS
League 1B: .246/.319/.407 .726 OPS Yankees 3B: .231/.290/.311 .600 OPS League 3B: .244/.311/.394 .705 OPS Now when you have Judge and Soto both with 1k OPS you can obviously get by with a bit worse elsewhere, but these are two positions usually considered better hitting pos where they're down 80-105pts in OPS at each. |
But Boone put in a righty pitcher too, because righty hitters can not hit righty pitchers..
|
Was working the Mbraves game yesterday and saw a fan wearing a Judge jersey. I said they better start winning and his answer kind of put things in perspective. He said he would rather they lose now and come on strong in the end. I wish I could be that optimistic but I have seen this show too many times before.

Ben Rice is providing good at bats but J.D.Davis and D.J. Lemahieu are the closest thing to a sure out in the Yankees lineup. |
Obviously they'll have Judge, but you really don't want guys over 32 unless they're at top form. Regardless if some guys are still on roids or not, baseball is back to not being an old man's game.

That's in aggregate for all of baseball. TLDR, everyone pretty much sucks. There's only really a few players that are excelling. |

Watching a lot of players in double A as that is what my job for the Mbraves allows me to do I can definitely say there really aren’t that many impressive players. I will say one thing though the umpires are in a hell of a lot better shape than the umpires in the MLB. |
The Yankees are just horrible on all aspects of the game right now. Volpe slows down going to home and doesn't score before DJ gets tagged out. DJ runs right into the out instead of trying to get into a run down to allow Volpe to score. Both guys making little league mistakes.

All of this is on Boone.
|
This team....ugh
|
Maybe the Sox got a new way to cheat us this year.
|
If this team doesn't make the playoffs, Cashman needs to lose his job. Plain and simple.
|
You really can't make this up right now. It's laughable.
The curse of the Stanton IL stint. |

Man, Harper hitting in Yankee Stadium… |
Just not worth posting about anymore. Until changes are made I am taking a rest from what used to be Yankee baseball but has turned into the 1962 Mets, finding new and painful ways to lose games. See you guys when they resemble something of a watchable team.

How if you are a player on the Yankees how can you not walk past Clay Holmes locker today and say Thanks schmuck.

DJ certainly can't say anything to anyone after last night's performance. They need to give some of these kids performing in the minors a shot. |
How long does Dominguez have to be ready to play?
Bring up Spencer Jones & trade Grisham to the Mets for a bag of sand |
