Time for our MVP Judge to have a big weekend. Put the team on his back and at least win the series.
2 walks and a homerun so far. I'm loving it. Can Cole and the bullpen hold onto this game? |

Glad he got the HR. Maybe will create some momentum for the series Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I have a friend who is at the game that objected to me saying both teams have been sucking lately and someone has to win. I was like, you lost 4 of the last 6 games. That's sucking. :D

Kahlne was lucky that those hard hot balls were right at fielders. And that Rice got back in time.
|
3 walks for Judge tonight now.
|
3 walks for Torres.
|
Finally another hit. Double by Trevino. :flex:
|
It seems no one on the Yankees know how to bunt anymore.
|
Hyde should be suspended for a period of time for that.
|
4 walks for Judge, the Bonds treatment only Bonds was a cheating scumbag

Mehhh maybe he gets Sunday off early for the AS Break. but not worthy of a multiple game deal. For sure both teams should be warned pre-game the rest of the series. They got Judge we got Herjstad which they should be happy it wasn't Henderson or Rutschman. |
Won first game. Two to go! Go Yankees!!!!

Benches clear in Yankees-Orioles after Heston Kjerstad hit by pitch https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/40550868/benches-bullpens-clear-yankees-orioles-heston-kjerstad-hit-pitch At that point, who was on the Yankees bench that would actually chirp at Hyde to cause that? The real players were on the field. Now hitting 10 batters in 8 games, would make someone upset. Let's hope this doesn't give the Orioles momentum the next two games. I haven't looked on FB yet, but I'm sure my dbag Orioles fans will have lots to say about the "dirty" Yankees. Like that pitch was intentional trying to close out a game in the bottom of th 9th and it's raining making gripping the ball harder. |
Judge hits 33rd homer, benches clear in 9th as Yankees top Orioles 4-1 to trim AL East lead to 1

Yankees call up red-hot prospect Jorbit Vivas with JD Davis headed to IL

Would’ve been nice to win the game without all the subplots. I don’t think it was intentional but if you wanted to make it seem unintentional an 0-2 pitch with 1 out in the 9th with a 4-1 lead would be the way. Glad Judge got on base all 5 times with 4 walks and a home run, that’s what the Yankees need to do when they face Devers. Clutch hit by Soto in the 9th to drive in Trevino but it looked like Trevino tweaked something. They still can’t find the proper spot in the lineup to hide Lemahieu 0-5 and hitting into a double play leading off so basically accountable for 6 of the Yankees 27 outs. I know they have injuries but there is no way lemahieu should get this much playing time. Cole was very impressive in his 6 innings Kahnle was hit hard but the ball found gloves. Weaver pitched a quick and effective 8th throwing I think only 6 to 8 pitches. I thought they might pitch him in the 9th but in this case I actually agreed with pulling him as he can pitch again today if needed. Although the hitting still wasn’t there I thought it was a solid win over the division leaders.

Can't say I've ever seen Vivas play but 100% this regardless |

Trevino was limping from the play before which is why he was pulled from the game. |

Trevino to the IL now. Wells as the everyday guy now, Narvaez called up |

I knew that... I was just saying, even the limping Trevino wanted a piece of the action |

At least they have the all star break so he might not miss that many games. |
I am trying to remember if I was this critical of Yankee teams in the past or whether all the new fangled useless everyday information has made me that way.

But I agree that it wasn't in any way intentional. But like you said, the Orioles have been hit quite a few times this year by Yankee pitchers. That has to get pretty old after a while. Intentional or unintentional. |
