$300 CAD/spot for team randoms in case breaks
yeeeeesh
That's pretty much the standard price whether in USD ($220-$230) or CDN. D&A had a 5 case break that took it down to $200ish per case but that's the lowest I've seen. Gotta love the price fixing that goes on - I think the wholesale price per case is roughly $3000, so the ~ $7000 for the work of breaking/shipping/etc is a pretty healthy margin. |

One other follow up on this. What is recommended for any booklets? Looks like there are a lot of booklets in this. Any special holders recommended for those if I pull one? |
Backyard Breaks are opening this up today. It's finally here!
Those clowns will probably pull the Gretzky Monumental too  |

No idea on the booklets. I’ve never held one. But they do make One-Touch magnetics just for booklets now I’m pretty sure. Might be a bit niche and tougher to find but they’re out there. |

Ok thanks, I appreciate it. |
Just saw a picture on IG of a Sorokin RPA and a Kaprizov patch auto, both had stickers.

I wonder if Kaprizov's RPA will have a sticker auto too? Could have gone that route instead of making it a redemption I suppose. |

Possibly. And would explain why they didn’t show them off on Facebook, knowing they’d get flamed in the comments over sticker autos in Cup |
Unbelievable to have sticker autos in a price point like this.

It was a couple of pics in someone’s story post. Don’t think I can link to a story |

You would think, but considering Panini has made far more expensive products sticker dumps and it didn't matter, it was always inevitable. |
Kirill redemption
Sticker autos What a complete dumpster fire. |
Cards are gorgeous like always with The Cup. But at $7K per case, you're very lucky if you get $3K in value.
|
Also seeing nice cards from past products like Splendor being put into this stuff. It's sad that Upper Deck does this....those cards were produced for another set...they should be treated as a bonus of some sort.
|
Let us give thanks to those ripping at $1400/box so that we may spend $100 on a nice card of our choice in the secondary market. May as well play roulette.
|
Rumor has it that Dollar Bill Kirill had to turn over his Cup autos to Putin and his regime to get out of Russia last year when he was detained by Russia. Don’t be surprised to see Kaprisov’s RPA in Putin’s collection.

Putin posted it on IG already. Signed in Russian, just like the Kanji Ohtani. |

That's why, as much as I hate it, I guess I kind of prefer a sticker auto versus a redemption at this point so I don't have to bust. LOL |

That's brutal

the beatings will continue until morale improves
I think it may be situational in this case - but I fear that this is just the beginning. Game used to player worn. On card to sticker. Very little change to product demand. For people crunching numbers at the HQ of UD or Fanatics, these decreases in cost while maintaining revenue mean improved profits. Or at least offsetting cost increases they may be seeing other places. It's VERY easy to ship a few hundred sheets of stickers for someone to sign w/o having any completed product. Shortens the product cycle. Improves predictability. Unless/until there is significant change in how it sells, there's no reason for them not to do it. |

Kaprizov is a minor symptom of the major problem. And that is, we can all see the logical conclusion of where high end is headed in this hobby. There is very little reason to include game worn material and have hard signed cards, so long as the group break centric model keeps churning. |
