You can at least look forward to having the MVP this year. Toronto/Detroit should be interesting.
The Jays will steamroll El Tigres.

2024 ALCS MVP
.944 OPS this season

Tell me your 2025 success story
I’m certain local high school coaches would come work for less than the current staff. That would not only be an improvement, it would also be cheaper for Hal.
We have a better chance of Ohtani opting out of his contract and signing for $1 with the Yankees than Hal firing Boone. :)!

Yeah, it will be a massacre.

Better hope so otherwise it just makes you guys look that much worse.

Well ya know coming into this series we had to contain the mighty Dalton Varsho and Ernie Clemens.

Blue Jay's are 4-3 against the Tigers this year.

fulltritty 10-05-2025 04:34 PM

Should be an error on Vladdy. Still getting no hit. :flex:

fulltritty 10-05-2025 04:37 PM

Volpe does what he does best with runners on.

What did I miss?

This team deserves whatever people are saying. This thread seems pretty honest to me.

packman80 10-05-2025 04:40 PM

What is worse? The Mets not making the playoffs or the Yankees getting slaughtered in the playoffs?
What is worse? The Mets not making the playoffs or the Yankees getting slaughtered in the playoffs?
Mets not making it with a huge payroll and Soto sitting at home.

Still a small win for me that we knocked the Red Sox out of the playoffs.

Melagoo 10-05-2025 04:41 PM

Springer Dinger!

I asked my neighbor this question. He's a Mets fan. I don't think either one of us could come up with an answer.

12 - 0 now.

There isn't a Toronto thread someplace???:coffee:

fulltritty 10-05-2025 04:43 PM

Boone's just going to let Warren get slaughtered out there and save the bullpen.

It's a whole 3 pages for the entire season. Great fan base. :coffee:

I guess this answers how he would have done starting over Gil.

He said he still had something left when Boone pulled him in game one against Boston. I didn’t agree with Boone pulling him when he did but based on the 3 previous innings before he was pulled and how many baserunners he had to deal with I thought he was spent.
I guess this answers how he would have done starting over Gil.
Yeah, who would have thought after his start that Gil would have given up the least runs among the 3 starters the Yankees have thrown out.

Ah. I missed that.

Um, I don't want to start an argument while we're down, but didn't you question Boone taking him out?
