I have the Model 300 & 200 from this guy and they are awesome. The actual case is an SKB which I've been told is comparable if not better than Pelican.

According to the link on page 1, it is the 4800 :)! But don't forget about the in store coupon for an additional 20% OFF discount: https://go.harborfreight.com/coupons/2019/08/20-off-any-single-item-at-harbor-freight/ |

It is the 4800, you can get them in a few different colors. I have a yellow and a dark green, they were around $50 ea shipped once you apply the 20% off coupon. They’re a lot nicer than I had expected to be totally honest, No regrets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

They're individual SKU's so you have to find the colors via search. Green and tan especially are associated with firearms or military and may cause your cards to be manhandled by airport security. |
How many PSA cards can you get in a row?
The left column in my photo are all PSA cases, there are 47 in that column. So 188 total per case if you do 4 rows. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Never mind
Would someone actually check a case full of cards as luggage? You should not be putting these in the hands of TSA. Carry-on all day long
I definitely wouldn’t. I don’t check luggage unless it’s a 2+ week trip and definitely wouldn’t have anything I didn’t want “confiscated” in the hands of TSA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I second this! I ended up getting the Harbor Freight Apache 4800 case. With the 20% coupon, this was the breakdown of the case price. Case: $43.99 Tax: $4.07 Ship: $6.99 Total: $55.05 |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The column next to the PSA 47 slab column looks like BGS cases. If I counted correctly, that's 29 BGS slabs in that row. Do 4 rows of BGS cases and that's 116 BGS cases. Four rows of PSA slabs, as already mentioned, is 188 PSA slabs. |

The second row isn’t all BGS, there is a one touch and 1 PSA in there as well. There are 28 BGS cases in the row, 15 of which are thicker patch cards, you could probably squeeze 33 regular size BGS cases in a row. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Is it easy to cut the foam padding to make 4 rows?
Is it easy to cut the foam padding to make 4 rows?
JoJo
I may be doing it wrong, but I just got one today and the padding pulls right out. |
Is it easy to cut the foam padding to make 4 rows?
JoJo
It’s pick apart so it’s fairly simple, just need a knife or scissors to cut along the perforated grid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I hated the foam pickapart stuff. I don't want the cards to slide around when the row isn't full.
That's why I started customizing cases. What I start with is similar to the Apache 3800 (Same manufacturer). I created a stronger insert, hardboard lined with padded vinyl, added slots (also padded vinyl), spruced up the appearance a bit, and I've been selling them in my spare time. My cases only hold 60 cards but they look and function much better. I sell them for $150 shipped to the US. That’s a great looking case
That’s a great looking case
Thank you! Originally they held 75 cards but I didn't like having the cards closer together. One of the benefits of slots is that the cards stand upright, so I spread them out just a touch and now I can look down the row for a specific card without having to pull them all out. I went for a better storage and travel experience rather than storing more cards. Also, the padded vinyl absorbs shock and helps protect the cards. Pluck n pull foam is okay, I guess...but it didn't hold my cards the way I wanted. I've invested a lot in my cards. I wanted a better case. |
Wow, 120? Do you mind taking a picture of the inside layout with the slabs please? I have a harbor freight near me and I may head over that way for this. Thanks!

Here you go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have an Apache 3800. Same layout as drstrader5. 3 rows instead of 4. I can fit 43 PSA slabs in one row or 129 in the case. Only tricky part was super gluing the middle walls. I wanted the foam secure. The foam kept absorbing the glue. Took a couple applications before securing. Would highly recommended. |
