80 bombs in a season if he can stay healthy

IgnatiusJReilly 10-06-2020 10:24 PM

He’s on an incredible run these past few games. When he’s healthy, he’s a huge asset and fun to watch. That 2nd bomb tonight was absolutely destroyed.

Six in five games!

I've said it before... injuries have robbed him of being one of the all time great home run hitters. Top echelon.

Soooo.....

Big Giancarlo collector. He cut back on his tight end look and got more flexible. It’s paying off. Dude can mash a baseball. Maybe Gallo and Ohtani come close but Giancarlo is #1 baseball destroyer

Stanton is why everyone in the outfield should bring a glove. It's incredible how HARD he hits the ball.

He hits it so hard its difficult for him to get extra base hits because it gets to the outfielders so fast

Incredible that he hit a ball a little over a foot off the ground for a homerun last night.

His GS the other day was one of 3 late game hits over 114mph off the bat. Ironically, the hardest of the three was Judge's double, at 118mph.

It looked like he barely even hit it. I was like no way that's going out, but being who he is it sure did.

Haha, I had Nats/Marlins opening day tickets in 2015 or so. Our seats were a few rows behind the LF wall. I was terrified each and every time he came to the plate. He hits piss-missiles.

I’ve always like Stanton. Darn shame he’s battled so many injuries. He was on a fast track to Cooperstown too. Hopefully he can keep it going several more seasons.

If he gets a ring (or two), gets a few more Silver Sluggers, and reaches 500 HR then he could very well be in. And all of those goals are fairly obtainable.

All he needs is to reach 500 HRs and avoid a PED violation. I don’t know if any clean member of the 500 HR club that isn’t currently in (or will be)

Seriously, it's insane. You look at Statcast for the hardest hit balls and it's mostly just him.

Will today be his first career 3 HR game?

As far as I know he hasn’t had any auto cards in a Yankee uniform. Does anyone have any insight into why that might be?

Yessir!

BRB, gonna go find the Sano thread. :coffee:

wood minis 05-26-2022 10:38 AM

thought his cards would explode in price when he went to the Yankees. Not so much, but still on a HOF trajectory.
