I picked Pedro because the potential is there for a 2013 like season. I think the move to 1B will do him a lot of good and get his confidence back. He played 1B for 4 games last season before he got hurt and hit 3 HR's in that span

The only problem is he's a lot more valuable with the 3B eligibility. If he is only 1B eligible that hurts a little bit.

Pirates hang on for the win! Really excited for the rest of Spring Training and the regular season! Pedro looked great today along with Kang, hopefully that continues! Also, my god we have some awful no name pitchers

No problem at all! Yeah, if you drop someone from your team, they will be placed on waivers for 1 day. During that time, any number of teams can claim him, but the team that is highest in the waiver order will get him after that day expires, and that team will move to the back of the waiver order. If someone is dropped and nobody claims him on waivers, they become a normal free agent that can be added without the waiver process

One question, what is up with the 2 DL spots? What are we supposed to do with those spots?

They don't count as roster spots.

If you have a guy on the DL, you can park them in a DL spot and then pick up another player. When your guy comes off the DL, you need to drop someone to put them back on your active roster. You can have 2 guys parked on the DL at the same time. If you have a 3rd guy on the DL, you either need to drop them, or just keep them on your bench.

Looking at projected stats, it appears aces as very valuable. The best batter (Mike Trout) is projected to be worth 481 points but there are 11 pitchers with higher value (9 worth 500+ points).

Now that I look back at it, I should've taken Kershaw with the first pick. The reason I didn't was because I wanted a strong hitter to carry my team. I also realized that I have the two most valuable hitters (Trout and Bautista) based on projected points on my team.

Yeah, I like the stats in this league. The pitchers are valued higher, but then they have a lot more risk, so it evens it out.
