Apparently, the new pants are see through.
https://www.reddit.com/r/angelsbaseball/comments/1awmav5/new_pants_are_seethrough/
How did this pass QA testing? …just kidding, I know Fanatics doesn’t have a QA department. |
People at Nike and Fanatics actually thought that was acceptable.
So - we KNOW (not think) this? We have undebatable proof that people from Nike and Fanatics KNEW that the pants were see-through and said it was acceptable? Just want to see the proof of this from one or both companies before confirming your unambiguous and unqualified statement that both companies knew and consented to this. |
They don't care because they have no need to. Even all this bad press won't change anything. The players will be sent better quality uniforms and they will continue to sell us regular folk the garbage at all time high prices.

Neither one is acceptable for a quality company, so I'm not sure that it matters if they 'knew' or not. |
My statement was specific to the post I quoted - which said both companies knew and condoned that the pants were see-through.
Just wanting to know if the quoted statement was factual or an opinion/perception passed off as a fact without actual clarity. |

Its pretty pathetic it got to this late stage. |

So which incompetent decision do you want to defend? |
I chose the lesser of the unbelievable incompetent decisions. I was cutting the bozos at Nike and Fanatics some slack. But maybe they are stupid enough not to test the product.

Going to have to cover the kids eyes when it rains now.
Thanks Fanatics! |
This isn't the first time that Nike has had issues with see through pants. Back in 2012, when they took over making the NFL jerseys and pants, they had the exact same problem.
https://uni-watch.com/2024/02/21/nikes-latest-mlb-snafu-new-pants-dont-leave-much-to-the-imagination/ Also had issues when their new "lighter" jerseys were tearing during the 2017-18 NBA season. |

Just wait until they play in a light rain, or direct sunlight, or start sweating. |
I love it! “Lighter” material.
Time to start shopping Aldi for some “lighter” food. |

Does Fanatics make softball pants as well?
Asking for a friend. |

Exactly this. Either way this is alarming. |
It's all been such a lousy problem for the last few years. Even dating back to the Majestic years, the mesh side panels on pinstriped jerseys looked bad, then they had the weird diaper flap. Nike comes and takes over and they throw the swoosh on everything -- even on throwback jerseys. Ad patches are added on the sleeve. All-Star game uniforms are ugly and take away from fun tradition; City Connect jerseys are eyesores. Promotional jerseys are stupid. The 4+1 rule sucks. The aesthetic value has decreased. The quality has decreased. The customer experience has decreased. The price has skyrocketed. And all the while MLB is trying to extract more and more money from an audience that has grown more and more apathetic. And no one is going to do anything about it because the cash keeps coming in - for now.

Two balls no strings
Cupless in Seattle The juicy one liners coming from this debacle are great! |
it's only a matter of time when the people that were the most enthusiastic about Fanatics a year ago are making posts about the good ole' days with Panani.
|
Fanatics has now done to baseball pants what it's done to baseball cards.
