Amen's been absolutely electric this season on both offense and defense, but his cards are still super cheap. I could definitely see a scenario where he's starting over Brooks by mid-season and with his physical tools the sky's the limit.
Got this one the other day, definitely looking to pick up more asap
Yup! Been picking his stuff up since last year. Just got an optic checkerboard at psa 9 for $27. I want a mosaic genesis, issue is his outside shooting. Tari Eason is also absolutely electric; truly a fun lineup when they’re both in. If they some how can land Giannis….can you imagine a lineup with FVV, Eason, Giannis, Amen and SenGOD? |

Green, Whitmore, Brooks and first rounder and possibly another player or pick. |

It’s fun to dream but this deal wouldn’t even get the Rockets Brook Lopez. Jalen Green has negative value at this point and the best asset in that deal is a late first If Giannis gets traded he’s getting a young star player + multiple 1sts and swaps |

That’s still not enough for Giannis. 3 1sts + 2 swaps and swap Tari in for Cam and I think that might be enough for Milwaukee to think about picking up the phone |

I'd take that deal |

Yeah, I think that's the baseline for "You might be serious about it" Zero chance Giannis gets traded for a package like that. That might not be enough for Chet and the Thunder can trade him plus a bunch of assets to the Bucks. |

The Bucks have no incentive to trade him and the Rockets don't have any assets that could possibly net a Giannis caliber player unless they gutted their entire team. Jalen Green is not a tradeable player unless he's a throw in or a salary filler. Cam Whitmore and Jabari Smith are not very good. Could they be a little better with a change of scenery? Maybe but you're not giving up a top 5 or top 10 talent to take a chance on those guys. |

That and Sheppard/Eason taking some of FVV/Brooks minutes and balling out. It's their only chance. |

Those guys and a couple picks can net you a star player imo. Giannis caliber? Maybe not but a level below for sure. Amen legit looks like the best wing defender in the league and you can probably trick yourself into projecting him as a +shooter which is tremendously valuable But that doesn't really benefit the Rockets either |

Amen is one of my favorite players to watch. He is such an amazing athlete.
I'm stealing this from a podcast I heard but it's 100% true, he teleports across the court. You have a free lane and look up and he just shows up for a contest out of nowhere |

They're essentially the same player. Incredible motors, effortless speed and explosion...ridiculously good defenders that can guard 1-4...and insufferably bad perimeter shooters. Basically dumbed down Kawhi clamps with boosted Michael Kidd Gilchrist offensive profiles. |

Makes you wonder how close this team is from seriously competing for a championship. They are a Jalen Green trade for a steady All NBA guy away from taking another level. West is wide open too, they need to strike while the iron is muy caliente.

While biased, I believe they are one alll star away. Sengun the post god is “it” and they need a dude like Giannis, Jimmy Buckets, ect…. |
Amen Thompson is an alien. I have not had this much pleasure watching 2 guys play on the rockets in YEARS. He and Sengun the post god are enthralling. I can’t believe they are the 2 seed, even if it’s for a minute. Happy thanksgiving to everyone.

Senguns defensive 180 this year has been great to see. |

Playing like a man! Call me crazy, but he might get an MVP vote or two if they hold steady. He’s the youngest center in NBA history with 7 career triple doubles! The post god has been on them blocks and able to stretch his defense when necessary. |
Tonight should be a solid test. While they don’t have Chet, still a good team.

Rockets are still a piece away from being true contenders. If ya'll can manage to finagle a package deal shipping Green in exchange for a borderline 1a scorer, it could be the final piece. Feels very reminiscent of OKC 2 years ago before Chet got healthy. |

The issue with trading Jalen rn is that at this point he's gonna be a throw-in on top of something else that another team actually wants, probably as a challenge to see if they can fix him or whatever The meat of the deal will have us losing out on some likely really good stuff we may not want to lose out on (Tari, Amen, Jabari possibly but the jury's still out since he's been improving lately) |

Addition by subtraction. History states that most if not all of those young players referenced most likely will never go onto be perennial all-star caliber talents, but rather good if not very good rotational pieces. Much in the same way guys like Dort and D White are invaluable, though not even 1b's, on their respective squads. I think the hardest part for me to identify is Houston's postseason identity. If you look down the line of former championship winners, they all feature an all-nba level alpha that everyone can point to and say 'yeah, that guy can take over games and will them to victory.' Not sure if I see any of those on this Rockets squad in its current form. Sengun is a great overall player and decision maker, but he's not really a consistent high volume scoring threat. Fun team to watch, for sure. |
