If Hoops were the flagship the outlook would be different for the reds, but since that's not the case the ceiling isn't too high unfortunately.

Nobody buys Hoops, whereas Flagship is the most collected set Topps puts out.

What I'm saying is that comparing Giannis Hoops to Trout Update is apples to oranges. Hoops has some room to grow, but will never reach Trout Update levels because it will never be Giannis' most desireable card.

Not sure what you’re saying here. Topps basketball was not Topps baseball, and the product doesn’t even exist anymore. I compared Giannis Prizm Base to Trout Update Base because they are the two most desired, mass produced RCs of each player. People don’t collect Hoops the way they do Flagship (Topps baseball S1, S2, and Update). No Hoops parallel will ever be compared to a Flagship parallel, except maybe your one post.

I own 0 hoops cards and I doubt that changes any time soon.

2007-08 was printed like crazy.

Durant Refractors are /1499

2009-10 Topps was the last year for topps basketball and before they couldn't print another product they rushed this. They included Chrome parallels.

Not the same.

Panini prints a ton of Hoops every year... they ALWAYS had Hoops.... Prizm was new so 2012 and 2013 they didnt print as much. NOW.... totally different story.

The weirdest thing for me is that PSA 10s and BGS 9.5s continue rising...but raws are still at 110-120.

while everyone is selling their psa 10 and bgs 9.5, I am still hesitating if or not to send in my 2 GA prizm rc to get graded........

And just saying, this GA bus ride is too late to buy a ticket, the price is never gonna come back to reality.......fastest growth I've ever seen throughout my collecting life.

I've added 0 Giannis cards to my collection since April 1st. What's wrong? :D Oh wait, someone else caught my attention, but I will be back! In the meantime, anyone notice the low end jump? Base Panini are starting to push $20-30 raw, and $100-$130 in Gem?

To me it's pretty obvious. Several stars join forces and create another super team that's comparable talent wise. I don't really like it because im a sports purist but it's almost the only way. GS was good before KD but when they got him it made them go from good to almost unbeatable. You have to catch them when you're hot and they're off their game. When they're on their game though you're just out talented.

Yep! Leadership has gone out the window. Its rather unfortunate for the game to me. Join forces? I would rather lose.

I love Giannis but he plays with another All Star, a 40/50/90 guy and a very good point guard in Eric Bledsoe. His head coach who won Coach of the Year in 2015 doesn't hurt either.

I think he stays in MIL but his missing 10 games this year with a sundry of leg/ankle injuries makes me nervous...this coming from a guy who collected Brandon Roy :)
