#2 done. Pretty uneventful. Rain held off which was nice. Very lush!

fulltritty 05-19-2025 07:21 AM

My son mowed the front on Saturday and the back yesterday. He used the money to buy another Blue Jays hat.

You should make him save some of the money.

6 was done yesterday

Getting nice and lush

Or just not pay him until he learns the importance of money.

Mow #2 of Hairy's Haven. The handle height adjustment lever came flying off the side of the mower mid-job but was reattached.

I'm missing the old Sears Craftsman gas-powered tank, which broke stuff instead of vice versa. :(
how many mowers have you broken?????
None. The Craftsman beast lasted 35 years before the deck rusted through and the shop refused to work on it. I thought about getting it repaired but decided to let it go. The current mower is brand new and while I have doubts about its durability, it is not currently broken.

#7 yesterday, all the rain we’ve been getting and cooler temps have kept it growing fast. Next time will likely be Friday or Saturday.

BostonNut 05-26-2025 09:38 PM

I meant to do #3 today but others projects took longer than expected. Will have to wait until next weekend.

#7 aka a Bristol Stool Boo

Boo v. Bledsuck will be quite the battle this summer.

I wonder who blinks first.

With all the rain, we won't burn out until at least July I would think. Depending on additional rain, it might even be later. Last year I think it was June.

Mow #3 logged. Had to do it today because rain starts again tomorrow.

Boo 05-31-2025 04:01 PM

#8 in the books. With the ton of rain and the 80s coming this week, it’s probably going to grow like wildfire. Had two swallows dive bombing me again and almost had a rabbit run right into my path.

ssbledsoe 06-02-2025 07:31 AM

#8 done yesterday

Channeling my inner Poo, I almost mowed a garter snake; wife was upset when I told her, "Of course I let him go. He's a good snake to have around"

Boo 06-07-2025 05:26 PM

#9 finished, squeezed it in after this morning’s rain and before tomorrow morning’s rain. The back was starting to look like Bnut Hayfield.

Reminds me of when I moved into my house about 20 years ago and was fretting to a neighbor about a landscaping issue in my back yard. He replied: "Dude, no one cares what your back yard looks like."

In retrospect, he was correct. :coffee:
