For those of you thinking, "We really need a third action figure variant cover of C-3PO", you're in luck. I was cruising EBay and saw a presale for Star Wars 28 and the action figure variant is C-3PO with removable limbs.

Yay.

Here's a link to the auction:

The fact he is in a jumble in the bottom of the blister pack is quite comical.

Oh, and for the super-hardcore completionists, there this one:

I never liked the Wonderworld variants. They all look goofy to me. But if you missed any of them the first time, you can get the entire set of 4 for $65 on their site

digitalbc 01-06-2017 01:29 PM

Most people are tired of the action figure variants, but I still really enjoy them.

this +1

IndySportsCards 01-06-2017 01:47 PM

I enjoy them as well. :)

drgthang 01-06-2017 02:02 PM

I played with the original AFs as a kid so these lured me at first..but now I'm realizing it will be neverending - new movies, new characters, JTC just rinse and repeat with 100s of characters, their various outfits or looks. lol

I'll probably stop after Darth Maul (I hope).

Mysterio 01-06-2017 02:31 PM

I'm still getting them all (except the Wonderworld variants). I figure for an extra $4 a month, it ain't no thang.

I certainly do. Especially the signed CGC SS copies from JTC's site. Hoping he offers one for Darth Maul.

Vader and Maul look odd with their lightsabers not fully extended.

Speed Racer 01-10-2017 05:36 PM

Having been six year old when the original Star Wars was released in 1977 and buying the action figures and recreating the scenes with them playing in my back yard and picking up the comics, I for one collect the action figure variants and don't see myself stopping. They are the only "variants" I collect but for me it's about the nostalgia and remind me of my childhood when I pick it up each month. Only one I don't have is the Diamond Seminar Luke B/W cover, price is a bit higher than I want to spend, maybe eventually I will grab one but I am content having all the others.

Yea just got this E-mail :( just when I think I am done they pull me back in!!!

DSizzle31 01-19-2017 04:02 PM

I wonder why Sidious is holding 2 lightsabers. Are they the two halves of Maul's or maybe there's a panel in the book that shows Sidious using 2. Interesting.

IndyKMB 01-19-2017 04:16 PM

This makes it easier for me to ignore the JSC piece coming out on Saturday!

From what I understand, Sidious is a dual wielder.

I have tried to get all of the Action Figure Variants on one website so they can be seen together.

When they are together they look totally awesome.

Let me know what you think.

Looks good but you should list them in order of release if possible, but if not, it still looks good. Are those just images of what you have or are you trying to put all out on one side? If so I think you are missing the B/W Luke one from the Diamond Seminar, which is the hardest one to get and I believe is the rarest.

digitalbc 01-25-2017 09:18 AM

Yeah I need a checklist for this and the Marvel ones.

I listed them in order as best as possible and then grouped them together in a way that made sense to me. I.e., putting all of the Han Solos together, etc.

These are ones I have and anticipate getting for the one's not yet released.

The only one I am missing is the Luke B/W. And yes, they are very rare and very expensive. I do hope to add one someday.
