there is NO WAY that 312 does NOT go to the show this year.

just no way.

we wont know him, but he will be there.

BOOK IT!
Calling out trimmed cards and card trimmers isn’t what pays the bills.
Also tends to be accompanied with an increase in power and conceitedness/false sense of security. The God/Idol complex. See what I did there?

He could probably pay off said house with 9 or 10 cards in his collection, which may or may not be trimmed. Allegedly.
I hear PWCC is accepting consignments.

ok, weekend trip then ;)

Idol is lurking, offline.
Facebook friends are now private.

Hopefully he's better prepared for that court date he mentioned, then he is at hiding his relationships with card trimmers.

His immediate behavior to hide things is definitely a sign of innocence.
Ultra specific stuff like you're requesting isn't necessary for tax purposes. Accountant just needs to know you purchased $500 worth of merchandise on whatever date...Not what card, from who etc

You know from who you purchased card in person with cash? You're the super minority if so.

The majority of transactions at a card show are nameless. This isn't defending a potential trimmer, but the whole "HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW" response is baffling to me. If I walk up to your booth and purchase something with cash, how are you expected to track this?

I've been buying and selling at card shows for 25 years. Never have I had someone ask for any information to "track" a transaction.

But yeah...the part about taxes is 100% true.
Hey guy, thanks for selling me these cards. Now, I'm going to need your full name, address, and telephone number for my records just in case the internet baseball card police tell me one of these cards is trimmed.

Maybe I'm a nerd, but I track each and every card because I like to see how well I've done. It's nice to be able to slice my data to say I made $XXX from 2019 Topps Series 1, or I made $XXX from Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Having data this specific has allowed me to identify types of cards to stay away from, and which types of cards sell for the most profit. I've been able to increase my profit margin by about 8 PPTs YoY.

Edited to add: It's also nice to have this type of detail as I know exactly what inventory I have at any given time. Unfortunately, I'll never be that guy that can say, "look what I found in a box that I haven't opened in 7 years!!"

At the very least, if you’re doing a deal in a parking lot, get the license plate number as the other party is walking to their car.

Brandon won’t be showing up around here anytime soon

KhalDrogo 07-07-2019 09:49 PM
I just got alerted of this. Most people who know me and has done business with me know that I buy and sell a ton of cards. Some cards recycle back to me and that’s the truth while buying collection. I’m not going to remember every serial numbered cards. If a card looks good I’m going to submit for grading.

I’m prepared to clear my name but I fear that no matter what I say won’t matter.

I am currently at my son’s friend birthday party. I will answer any questions that come my way when I have the time.

I ask the blowout community to wait before making judgement on me. I have been a member of the Blowout Forums for years and even advertise it on all my eBay listings.

The OP is so sure I trimmed these cards. Not sure how far this will go but if this does go to court I’m prepared and I hope 3125408 is also.
When will you have the time? How long do we have to wait?

He'll probably get with his lawyer in the morning.

Brandon: Hey Tom (lawyer I made up), these guys on this message board are making claims that I trim cards. Can we get them for Libel or Slander?

Tom: Well, is it true?

Brandon: They have pictures and stuff, but I swear I didn't do it.

Tom: Do you have a good alibi?

Brandon: I told them I sold the cards and bought them back later after someone must have trimmed them.

Tom: Do you have proof?

Brandon: I'll show you once I'm done with this birthday party.

Tom: When is it over?

Brandon: ...

Tom: Brandon? Hello?

He’s not coming back, because he knows that he slit his own throat by responding to the original post and being too dumb to actually have not taken the time to comprehend it, before he caught himself in lies.

Until after he calls in tomorrow morning to try to get the thread yanked, at least.

Exactly.

That’s what all my quoting was for.

In that guy's defense, I haven't been to a card show in like 25 years. Literally 99% of my purchases are online and there's a paper trail with COMC/eBay/BO/PayPal.

Lol, as if that would have done him any good, other than give him the chance to just leave without posting at that point. It’s pure comedy watching these guys get outed.

His wife's LinkedIn profile has now been removed.

They are scrubbing.

KhalDrogo 07-07-2019 10:05 PM

God I just found a gem of a thread from 2017.

- Guy posts a 2005 SPA Rodgers for $3500
- Steve Tormollan calls the price “absolutely impossible” and low balls him at $2000
- houdini calls out Steve Tormollan for possibly having multiple accounts since he references the psa.gems eBay account
- Brandon comes out of nowhere to defend Steve and his offer

Wonder if Brandon and Steve know each other...

I hope you get a call from the Feds hiring department for some high ranking covert FBI type stuff like that scene in GoodWill Hunting.
