Me?
Hahahaahaha  You don’t hang around here much, huh? At least not in baseball. I’m guessing you just looked ant my join date? Although, I am honored to be the subject one of your 40 yearly posts. Covid or not, looks like you’ve been complaining about prices since 2017: https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1110056 And questioning whether we’re about to see a market collapse since 2016: https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1034763 So I genuinely have no idea what you mean by “Since you covid boyz…” as if that’s when you started being unhappy with the hobby. Anyways, I’ll let you get back to walking around with your “End is Nigh” sign now.
Permabears will eventually be right. Life may have passed them by, but eventually they will be correct. And boy when they are, will you hear about it nonstop. |

Oh, I definitely agree with you. It’s also hard to look at what’s happening in the bourbon, sneaker, and watch scene and not think something like that is coming for sports cards. Not a crash, but a further softening than we’ve seen over the last 2-3 years. I guess time will tell. I don’t stress it since I just do this for fun. I just don’t know why I was catching random strays from some dude who hardly posts here! Haha |
Are we excited for whatever product is dutched next?

Learned something new today...permabear. Legitimately had never seen that word written and/or referenced before today. |

Legitimately had never seen that word written and/or referenced before today.
Its a real estate related term, probably coined by my least favorite people (real estate agents) to describe people who predict market downfalls for years on end. Of course San Antonio has one of the most stable real estate markets in the entire nation, not likely to hear "permabear" there. |
You won’t believe this, but back when it was $135-$140 a box, people were still complaining and reminiscing about the days when it was $60 a box…
The difference is they would complain about the singles not paying for the price of a box. Now, that isn't in question -- you are automatically getting skunked if you open a box yourself. The pricing is based on group breaking -- not individual ripping. As a result, individual ripping is mostly gone. |
Oh I believe it. People will complain regardless of prices. But what people could do when it was 130 a box is find it. The same is said in the bourbon world, or with watches or anything. Demand currently exceeds pricing. When that switches is going to be a downhill rush.
Sent from my SM-S928U using Tapatalk
Luxury companies deliberately make products scarce to support high pricing. The demand is limited, but the supply is controlled for to always make it less than demand. |

A broken clock is right twice a day good sir, and a broken clock would have a fairer fight than I against the market(s). :D |
