There have been only four* times in MLB history where the average average dipped below .240:
1887, 1888, 1908, and 1968 Pretty crazy to think about even if you're like me and understand that AVG isn't everything. *Only once in the modern era.
Wasn’t 1968 the year Gibson had that crazy low earned run average and they changed the rules and lowered the mound for the next season. |

Yes it was! Amazing what can happen when you allow the shift, deaden the ball, and have everyone out of the bullpen throw 100mph. |

So next year there will be no shift allowed and most likely a livelier ball but what are they going to do about all the 100 mph bullpen pitchers. |
People keep saying fans are complaining even though the Yanks are winning. My question is, why can't you want the team to improve even when they're winning? Are we only supposed to want improvement when the team is losing?
Exactly. As has been said before, Gallo and Hicks are going to be disasters in the playoffs and could cost the Yankees wins. Deal with them now and let Andujar keep playing and seeing more pitches against people we will see in the playoffs. |
It will be interesting to see what Gary Sanchez will be able to do against us in this series. With the way the pitching has been, he should suck it up, but you never know.

Here's why Gleyber's resurgence is no fluke:

Most of his peripherals look good. -Top 6% Avg EV -Top 11% HardHit% -Top 26% Barrel % -Top 9% xSLG Good for Gleyber. |

I’d say good luck in this 3 game series but you get to face a rookie with only 1 start in his career, Archer, and Bundy.
Yanks should be heavy betting favorites in every game |

I’d say in this order Archer Sands Bundy I wouldn’t trust Bundy against a D2 squad right now |

Hope they're clean. |
Taillon already giving up as many hits and runs as last start still ahead 3-1 but looking sloppy at first Rizzo.

They're not Ortiz dont worry there clean. |
Taillon off tonight but he will piece his way through.
|
Back and forth game tonight, just glad the twins didn’t let that 3 run first take all the wind out of their sails
|
Well Boone at least you pulled Taillon before he could get the loss.
