Really wondering what case prices start off at with this one. Any guesses? I would say $850 for the first hour and then onto a $1000. At some point they bubble needs to burst, right?

People thinking that Topps has ANYTHING to do with the higher prices this year are fooling themselves.

I used to buy a ton from Blowout. Now I stick to people who value my business and aren't looking to charge me 2x MSRP!

Last year's thread started in late Aug. I've been checking everyday this month for the 2019 one.

Should be a fun rip, but I'm afraid the prices are going to continue to be inflated and it will be overproduced. There won't be any key rookies to drive this one like Acuna and Soto did for HHN.

What big RC’s are gonna carry this product??? I think we see a major fall down to earth on new product pricing next year

None, many of the "new breakers" to Heritage are going to suffer greatly. Especially if the pricing trends continue. People will lose 60-70% of their money.

If you get in at dist pricing, then pre sell sets, etc...you'll still be fine, imo. $1000 plus a case is where it may hurt...

Seems like the Yankees are using him as a bullpen arm, at least for this year.

Yea, I think he'll end up in the Bullpen, I was actually wondering if they'll give him any starts at least early next year (I'm sure it all depends on ST)

It would be nice. But this is what we said last year.

Having trouble naming anybody worthwhile for the low series. Urias is really the only guy right now that is coming to me.

Heritage High next year should be loaded. Likely see Vlad, Eloy, Tatis, etc.

Cases will open at $2499.

Not a fan of 1970 style but starting in 2020 I will be hooked and I should probably start saving now to buy a case in 2024.

But I do want a “Lowell Palmer” card and they had better make one, and not as a pallet-of-cases super duper short print variant either.

In general I hope they start buying some photos shot in stadiums now. And that doesn’t have to be all of them by any means. For the Spring Training photos PLEASE move the damn photo spot once in a while. Having all the players stand in the same spot each year, and year after year after year, is just straight lame, and lazy. We are Topps. We don’t care, because we don’t have to.

Heritage doesn’t need rookies to carry the product.

With that being said, the weaker rookie crop at season’s open should lead to much lower prices.

Not for the legit Heritage guys. But that isn't who is buying everything these days. Its everyone looking for the next big thing. Wrong product for sure. But that won't stop many from paying whatever it takes to break it open in large quantities.

Last year? You mean the Benintendi/Swanson/Bregman year? That's three guys that were as or more hyped than Tucker will be next year. Then you had solid depth behind that which included some guy named Judge.

No, nothing is bursting. It didn't in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014....it won't in 2019.

How about we realize this hobby is extremely strong at the moment, and a lot of people with disposable income are investing in baseball cards.

Doesn't mean every product is a winner. Let's just look at the positives in such a strong market. People are obviously paying these prices for sealed wax, otherwise they wouldn't be priced as such.

2012 Topps Heritage was at bargain basement prices for a good while.

And you couldn’t give away the 2013 and 2014 update sets.

The “bubble” most definitely started the last couple years, as far as heritage goes.

Looks like initial presell will be around $1000. That's tough when you can buy 2018 High right now for $1100

Exactly....every year, every release, same comments.

Then right at release "This player is going for way to high", "Who is paying these prices", "Bubble will burst soon"....

I always get comments and messages on EB about "where the market is", "you'll be lucky if you get this amount", "if you already have that offer, take it, because it's not worth that much"....and then BO, "crazy where this seller has this listed at", "race to the bottom started", etc.

It's a fantastic hobby, imo…..enjoy it, because it is on fire right now ;)

It absolutely does. Back when Heritage was full of autos of mostly old time semi-stars nobody gave a crap about it. It didn't take off until it contained RC autos of big time RCs.

Hell no. I got sucked in this year and barely made anything on reselling the cases despite it actually being a great product. Not happening again! 2019 will be void of hyped rookies. I don't even know who the "top 5" for a single rookie action variant would be. Certainly nobody even close to the caliber of the previous 2 years.

And TBH I miss ripping this product. It was always such a great product to open and hunt for the variants and everything but the price point was just too high. I won't open this at $989 and I won't buy it to resell because I can't imagine it going over that. Hopefully one of my suppliers will offer to me at normal prices. We shall see.

Imagine the whining when not only are half the cards off center, but the issues with chipping...

Have been doing 1-2 cases the past few years. I’ll be stepping away as well at this price.

I hope the people who buy at this price lose life-altering amounts of money as a result.

This is a frickin' set builder product. It doesn't need RCs; in fact they shouldn't really even have them. Prospectors and investors get the hell away from Heritage, dammit. :)
