When does it go live?

Can't wait for the breaker delights to drop.

Always loved this release, wish they would show some of the new 2024 non-baseball hits instead of reposting old ones. Let's build the hype!

Chances are probably not but wondering how they will make this breaker-friendly. Probably a lot more rare inserts to chase.

Once again it will be how watered down can the autograph checklist be until people will stop buying it?

When is the last time ginter sold out and then skyrocketed in price like what 2023 platinum just did? Has it ever? It is one of those products that still had a great following and people buy it at release, but then it just usually sits at 100 dollars a box once everyone has moved on.

Last year was actually fun cuzza Wemby autos and his mini parallels.
On a side note, someone remind the flunkies working at Topps the Brooklyn back mini hand numbering goes on the back, not the front of the card.

The non sports stuff not my cup of tea but I will grab my singles of my PC guys. But that Ohtani framed auto is absolutely insane hopefully they do something similar with Yamamoto.

I'm waiting on a Ohtani, Yamamoto, Imanaga triple auto because you know at some point we will get one if not in A&G the maybe Heritage High Number. They would be absolutely stupid not to take advantage of that draw and the craze it would stir with breakers trying to pull one.

Always love Ginter but will have to think of ripping this year. Very small sample size I know but busted 2 cases at release last year at about $2800 cost. Turned that $2800 into about $1500.

Have no idea why 2023 Chrome Platinum Anniversary is going up in price....complete sets are going for $150-200, and the auto checklist is very average. Even the City Variations have been dropping in price.

Not sure what is pushing the price up....heck the Chrome Platinum Anniversary thread on here is so dead it's dropped to page 3-4.....

50% return. I'd say you came up with what people are paying for wax. There will be plenty of $500 turn into $50 for 2024 topps chrome.

They pulled that image from eBay and I've wondered if that auto is legit, as it appears to be in the frame, not the plate itself. If someone has more info please correct me.

Impractical Jokers. They’ve had a cable tv series for over a decade. Even the base cards of them sell for $5-10. The autos sell in the low hundreds.

Same complaints about A&G since the products second year…”I don’t know who these people are”. Depending on posters who don’t know who the auto signors are, I can almost tell who isn’t married and doesn’t have kids. They could toss Ms Rachel or Blippi in there, autos sell on eBay for $100-200 on eBay, and you’d have dinosaurs here barking that they don’t know who those people are(I unfortunately know who they are, wouldn’t want the autos, and would gleefully sell immediately).

Lol there’s someone complaining in the 2013 A&G comments on Cardboard Connection that they got a crap box and only got a Freddie Roach auto in it. El Oh El. Dudes a legendary boxing trainer who has trained 40 boxing world champions and several MMA Champs. His auto card regularly sells in the $60-80 range when it comes up for sale.

It’s not a pack issued auto. But I’m sure Beckett did a ton of homework authenticating his Kanji signature.

Another stale Topps product that has jumped the shark. At least in Gypsy Queen you were guaranteed 2 autographs a box. With Ginter there are so many boxes that have 3 worthless relics and the base set is completely worthless.

The entire Topps product line needs updating outside of a few products. The best and only way to save heritage IMO is to make it a chrome product with 1 autograph guaranteed.

I will be in for a bunch as always. Ginter is such a fun rip every single year.

I love Allen & Ginter every year, I don't ever remember a worthless base set yet. They tried a chromed version of Ginter and it just wasn't as good. Not everyone has to have everything chromed LOL. And isn't the Topps Chrome Platinum just basically a chromed out Heritage concept? Also love Heritage every year too, let's keep some fun sets for the low end spenders too.

You are so correct about Chrome this year. I understand it could always be worse then a 50% return but also that's a big reason I buy and rip 20% as much as I did a few years ago. Ginter is a fun rip and depending on price Its 50/50 I'll be in for 1 case but in past years it was 100% chance I was in for 1 or 2 cases.

2023 was an incredibly strong checklist. I’d love if they can top it but it’ll be hard.

I really enjoyed my A&G box last year. With heritage minors getting cut, I have a little room and I might try one this year as well.

And I agree with racedog and sandyfrank on heritage: please, please don’t do the chrome thing. Clearly nobody at fanatics gives a sh*t about set collectors, but it would be a damn shame if they ruined heritage in that way. It does not “need saving” from a set collector’s standpoint.

Replacing Heritage with a chrome version would be so stupid.

The last quote is mine - I stand by it, and still wish there were more sports autos of non-baseball players included. I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of the high NFL/NBA draft picks included, which is cool - the Richardson, Young, and Levis ones were a nice addition last year.

I also stand by getting old and cranky, because I'm consistent.

And a Scheffler auto would be even bigger this year.

Since fanatics has collegiate licenses, they should be able to do CFB coaches w logos.

2023 had Nadal, Wemby, and Stroud. You omitted all three of those. Stroud and Wemby are maybe the biggest non MLB autos in all of sports the last calendar year. And Nadal is a top 3 tennis player of all time.

I made some nice gains on last year's boxes, even got to rip 4-6 boxes.

Only mistake was moving most boxes 1-2 months too early, left some meat on the bone haha.

I omitted them because I had only been awake for a few minutes before I posted. I'm not a morning person. Hardly an afternoon person, even.

I'd say I'll try to do better, but I likely won't.

If somehow topps got Taylor Swift into the product I could see boxes breaking 200 or more. No one wants that. Despite all the non-sports stuff in it, Ginter is still a great baseball product. The two rip cards per case is like being handed a stack of cash. It is ironic over the past 19 years of ginter, the two most expensive base cards are not people but objects.

Need swift and Kelce dual autos. That would actually be a lot of fun.

Shoot, I distinctly remember watching their first-ever aired episode (not a re-run) in Vegas with my wife. We were just flipping through the channels to see if there was something both of us would be interested in watching and stumbled upon them, watched a few minutes and were hooked from that point onward.

Like busting Ginter. Bought 2 cases last year and turned $2800 into about $1500. Which is probably about average unfortunately. If the checklist looks decent and they don't jack the price up I'm probably in for a case.

If last year's timeline holds true, release should be in late September. Starting to see some of the signers unveiled on socials this week seems like it would hold with that too

Pretty sure the black minis are for Ginter X (Topps does the framing after they receive the autos, no?)

I had in my head that X cards were labeled as such on the card, but fact checking myself shows I was incorrect. So yeah I'd assume these are for X after all, too - though it actually looks like the frames for X are not explicitly labeled as X either, just "Allen & Ginter"

Yeah they announced late October in an Instagram comment awhile ago. Probably not much news until a week or two before by this point. But maybe they start revealing a few auto subjects soon?

I love A&G as well, but its true, the base set, inserts, mini inserts and 99% of the game used relics are worthless.

Even the base mini's aren't fun to collect anymore.

Maybe they need to reduce the number of cards and packs per box, so you can only make 1 or 2 sets per case. Or something else to make them more collectible and fun.

Someone at Topps has to be a Jersey rock/punk fan. First we had Brian Fallon from the Gaslight Anthem then Benny from TGA and Jared Hart from the Scandals. Also those three minis for the fake soccer team (I have them somewhere in a box). Stoked to see these cards.

Yeah Usain Bolt and Travis Scott caught my eye immediately as likely the most popular.

The Boy Meets World cast members are on my radar even though the Topanga will likely be pricey.

I'll definitely be grabbing a John Daly, too.

I also see chrome partial parallels as well. Surprised it took this long. Wonder if that means the death of A&G Chrome as a separate product
