I have 10 cases comming - if this stuff goes much higher I will be forced to sell without ripping!!

Starting to think the same thing as well which would be tough since I have been looking forward to this all summer and planned to take time off from work to rip.

We should start to see some breaks on other boards by Friday. If we see the star autos are SPd or the #d inserts have horrible odds I will definiately not be busting.

Well if you bought in at the low you made a 30% return in 1 month. I have had better luck investing in cards this month than I have in the stock market.

Blowout might be selling it @ $960, but that doesn't mean everyone else is. i saw a couple of 6 box cases listed for $370ish.

i don't think you could move them now for more than $825. i hope that everyone can, but be a little realistic about the price fluctuation. i'll bet by the beginning of next week, 12 box cases are down around the $850 mark.

I agree that eBay takes time to catch up, but those prices have jumped as well. All of the 12 box cases are listed in the neighborhood of at least 900 now.

I wonder what is driving the push up. Hopefully Chris knows something we all don't.

It's common sense that when a price fluctuates it will take a little bit of time for the market to adjust, so obviously not everyone is going to be at this price the same day of the change. With the historical strength of bowman chrome and the content of this years rookie crop I'd say this price is very realistic.

maybe yesterday. it took a huge jump today.

you could get $850-875 right now. dealers are buying up everything $825 or less.

if you are talking about chris' listed price i'll take that bet. i think it will never be below $900 again. it might jump over $1000 and fall back to $900, but i think there's too much demand pressure to go below 900.

I was checking the Bowman Chrome thread on the MOJO site. Someone mentioned they found a site with chrome at $66 a box. I went to the site and it had 50 boxes available. I had to answer a phone call, I was away for maybe 5 mins. I go back to site and they were sold out.

I am amazed at how hot this product is. I have 7 cases that I was so looking forward to busting. How do I not flip now?

It would save me so much time to flip, but those cases will be calling out to me.

mfarmer, that same site had 114 boxes about 45 min ago...

Even if you do flip them on Ebay, you'll get killed with Ebay fees and paypal fees....with the amount of people that are thinking about flipping them now, I feel a ton better about breaking my cases.

unfortunately a few people on this board changing their minds about ripping won't change a thing on ebay. it will still get shredded at record pace.

I can't wait. I will have 3 of my cases this Friday.....

Great point Solt. I hope everyone decides to hold or flip their sealed cases which will help maintain prices for those still busting.

Fewer auctions should drive up prices of the singles wich will also help keep the case prices high so for once everyone wins!

I'm a little worried about the print runs, potential that the stud autos like Joba get SPd and half the autos end up being redemption cards.

These prices are getting retarded - I had all the prospect auctions ready in Turbo Lister but now I am just going to sell my cases sealed. It's up to $960 now and with the Joba hype I am hoping for $1000 per case so I can get out with a 35% profit, I doubt I will be able to get that busting the cases.

Don't be so sure you couldn't get $1000 per case if you bust. The hype not only pushes the case price up, it will also push the prices for individual cards/lots up as well. People will want to acquire their players right out of the gate, but if they see the prices on the cases going up, the value of the product inside the cases goes up as well, therefore they will pay more for individual cards.

This is the same thing that happened last year. There will still be tons and tons of this broken and put on Ebay. I have to admit I am thinking about flipping my cases but I think top prices won't last long after release.

Phil I just got confirmation from someone I know who owns a card shop. New release date Aug. 22nd. He got this from Topps dealer site.

I come from the Beckett boards, where we have an honest-to-God poster who is an employee of Topps (the Mods verified this). He informed me that there are no delays scheduled for Bowman Chrome. :D

Jaypers I enjoy your posts on the other board. I love your early info on Bowman products as they are my favortites as well. Nice to have you over here. I was posting info I got from my guy who gets his from people in the know. I have to go with what he says. He is always on the money with this type of info. I hope he got bad info. I am ready to go on my Chrome cases.

the change would have been made today if it happened, since it was still listed as 8/15 yesterday. the first place changed street dates usually show up is in the info attached to orders on the toppspro.com (hobby dealer) site. i'm unable to check since i'm not direct, but anyone with a hobby store can verify the current street date, and that's where scottiff's info is coming from.

Guess we'll see soon enough. The first people to get theirs usually come from overseas, so keep your eye on eBay this weekend and see if any pop up. If not this weekend, check on Monday.

Heard the same thing. The last I heard they were all sitting on pallets in their warehouse and ready to roll.

You guys have a guy on your site (Jim I think) that will be opening at least 10 cases. He always gets his early so we'll see if he busts any this weekend. He can also clue us in to any short prints and the like.

Steelers, you beat me to it. I got the same information this morning from my buddy who owns a shop in Southern Maine and is Topps direct. He said as of this morning the release date has been changed to 08/22.

New release date works for me as I'll be in Vegas next week anyway. Something to look forward to when I get back :)

maybe they want to distance it a little from A&G to make sure they can sell even more of both next year. the bulk of A&G retail isn't even out yet.

Blasters hit four Targets here last night. I bought three Blasters and looked for single packs last night. Went back today to buy another Blaster or two, and Sir Buy-'Em-All had already nailed the entire area. He only comes out for Bowman Chrome, Draft, Ginter and Chrome football, but he buys everything he can get his greedy hands on.
